In reply to: [WP Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)] EffectiveThanks for the kind words Peter.
I might have to reconsider the toggle switch as it’s been brought up multiple times in the past. Feel free to raise an issue on GitHub if you have time!

In reply to: [WP Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)] “alternate” classHi there, can I ask what the
alternate
class is used for? Also, if you could post this to the issue tracker over on GitHub that’ll enable me (and others) to track it effectively and get it fixed for another release if required. Thanks!GitHub repo is here: https://github.com/danieltj27/Dark-Mode

Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts and I’m glad you like the idea of Dark Mode. I’ll try and answer your questions as best I can!
1. Yes. It will be compatible at some point. Right now it’s not and if it detects Gutenberg is being used on the current page the styling is disabled (this is just so you don’t get a half dark, half bright UI messy UI). I’ll need to communicate with the Gutenberg team to arrange how to properly support it.
2. This is something I considered however because themes can control this space via ‘editor styles’, it’s been left for now. This should become at least somewhat less of an issue once Gutenberg is merged into Core and that is styled. Due to how the editor is loaded in, it’s not as straightforward to make TinyMCE fully ‘darker’ although it’s possible with some more work.
I’ll mark this as resolved now, but if you still have a question then just reply and I’ll see if I can answer. Thanks!
Thanks for leaving a review, I’m glad you like the plugin!

In reply to: [WP Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)] quick optionsOf course, you can make your own add-on plugin for Dark Mode and make use of the available hooks and filters to extend it however you’d like.
The documentation that I linked to above should provide enough guidance of the various different options that you can take advantage of.

In reply to: [WP Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)] quick optionsHi there, thanks for trying out the plugin. An option to add it to the toolbar was added in a much earlier version I believe but was taken out because it didn’t really solve any UX issues. As the option is a user-based setting, it remains in the user settings page to turn on or off.
The plugin does have multiple hooks available so if you’re able to, you can make an add-on to include a link in the toolbar. More information on hooks in the plugin can be found here: https://github.com/danieltj27/Dark-Mode/wiki.

In reply to: [WP Markdown Editor (Formerly Dark Mode)] More screen-shots.Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I’ll look into potentially adding more screenshots in the future once the next minor or major version is released. I raised an issue on GitHub so it’s not forgotten about.
