In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Mixed content language in WP dashboard with WPML@vijay99rathod, could you send me version 5.1.4? I can’t find it anywhere, much appreciated.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Mixed content language in WP dashboard with WPMLWe’re facing the same issue with WPML & The Events Calendar. We added Polish and now the titles in the events are in Polish in all languages, and also words in the WP Dashboard – login page as well. The advice given by WPML is to roll back to v5.1.4. We purchased a theme together with the Events Calendar plugin so I can’t roll back to this version. WPML v4.3.18 / PHP 7.4 / WordPress v5.5. See English page https://olvternood.nl/en/agenda/ & Dutch page (standard language) https://olvternood.nl/agenda/.
Problem is only with the Events page. When I visit the page or an event, then the text in the dashboard also changes to Polish text. When I visit another page and hit F5 to refresh, the text is in English again.
I’m not hogging this thread, I am merely curious to see what solution you give to @vijay99rathod – as we have the exact same issue.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Showing past events firstThank you @bordoni & @simonwammerfors.
The Events Calendar plugin is part of a theme that my client purchased on https://themeforest.net/. I’ve notified the theme developers to fix this, as I am running the newest version of their theme & the Events Plugin.
Update: I set up a test site and added the code that @simonwammerfors mentioned, but it doesn’t work, site is still showing old events.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Showing past events firstI can’t seem to find the original code in any of the tribe-events php files, can you tell me how to add this code via the snippets plugin? I’ve updated this plugin too, it’s Easter and the Events Calendar on our Church website is now showing events from 2018 – this is the worst possible time for us to have this kind of error. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Dani?lleDear Rob, thank you. Yes, that might be the best way to do it. The site is huge. It is also a church website, so if you see the front page English translation, then you can see that it is a far from ideal translation. But it is a very cool plugin. Thank you! Dani?lle
I have resolved the visibility issue. I just have the question regarding faulty translations – some are really silly. The site is built with beaver builder. Do I have to create new pages for each translation to get it correct? Because if that is the case, then I think WPML is the better option. What is your view on this? Thanks.

In reply to: "white screen of death" after updating to 4.3Here is a good tutorial that mentions different options you can try: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/

In reply to: "white screen of death" after updating to 4.3What were you doing when the admin page stalled? If you were installing a plugin, you can access your plugin folder via FTP and delete it.

In reply to: "white screen of death" after updating to 4.3Hi there – I had a white screen on a new install. I got it after i:
Uploaded newest version of WP via FTP to the server
Ran the famous 5 minute install
Received message that it was a succes
Went to the login page – and saw nothingThere was an easy fix:
Via FTP go to theme folder
Rename the default theme twentyfifteen to twentyfifteen-tempThis forced WordPress to show the login page, and I was able to login and work on the site from there.
I would strongly recommend using Updraftplus migrator, which is less than $30 – you can backup your site automatically and easily migrate your site to another server with this plugin. Saves a lot of frustration.
Hope this helps.
