    Hi Matt,
Thanks for the info. If seems you’re using a different plugin? Query is not supported with page list as are some of the other parameters…

    This is my workaround:
On the parent page that should list the subpages:
    [pagelist_ext child_of=”xxxx” sort_column=”post_date” number=”2″ sort_order=”desc” image_width=”120″ image_height=”120″ strip_tags=”0″ limit_content=”700″]
Where child_of xxxx is the page ID of the subpage. That way I don’t show the pages themselves, just the pages attached to it. For more subpages just repeat the code and put in the right page ID for that subpage.

    HTH someone, best, d

    How about this?
    [subpages] – by default shows list of subpages to the current page as the hierarchical list;

Did you find this out or found a workaround? I’ve got the same question.
Please share if you did. I’d be eternally grateful. Best, danielle.

    Hi all,

I’ve been trying all kind of parameters but I still haven’t figured out the problem. I’m now trying a workaround where I give the parent/top pages a very old date but even that doesn’t work?
    This is the shortcode:
    [pagelist_ext sort_column=”post_date” number=”10″ sort_order=”desc” image_width=”120″ image_height=”120″ strip_tags=”0″ limit_content=”700″ hierarchical=”0″] This is the page I’m talking about: https://annemariemaes.net/works/
All the pages with – works at the end are top level pages. The “BEE LABORATORY – works” page I’ve dated 12-11-2000. So I expect that page to not show as there are more then 10 pages. But it is still there even showing before the other bee laboratory pages!

I do hope someone can help me with this. Thanks very much in advance, d

    Hi,

Thanks for the tip. I’ve posted my message there. It is posted double now. If someone can tell me how to remove this post (if necessary) I will.

    Thanks.

But still, how does it look? Do you get the expanded menu? As this problem also appears on iPhone I’m curious to know how it behaves. Thanks.
In my PC version of FireFox I also get the expanded menu’s when I view at a small resolution.

    Hi esmi,
Did you open the link https://annemariemaes.net on you phone? Could you please take a look? How does it display with you?

My client also has the same problem on her modern iPhone. And I use the Web developer toolbar for Firefox to test responsive layouts and it has the same issues.

I did tweak the menu position, as I explained earlier. But apart from that and a few colour changes I don’t recall altering drastic things in the CSS.

Do you have any clue where to look in the CSS to solve this issue?

Thanks very much in advance. d

    Hi esmi,

The result is the same. Collapsed menu’s.
    Is this the default behaviour?

    Thanks, danielle

    Hi lorax,

In itself the menu manager is very user friendly. But once you’re putting say over 20 items it gets hard to add new items in the right place. It would be very convenient if one could collapse menu parts one is not working on. This has been suggested in the ideas forum too.

As to how many items, I’m not sure but it might be well over 50. It is a growing website where new (sub) categories will be added.

    Best, d.

    Hi all,

I’ve found the problem. The arrows weren’t displaying because the css can’t find the image. Somehow the link is broken on the “black” style and some other styles. I’ve solved it by choosing a different style.

Hope this helps someone, best, d.

    Hi sirrieh70,

I’m using the child theme accessible-onetwo on the twenty-twelve theme. The code modification above are they in the twenty-twelve theme? If so I’m reluctant to change theme due to theme updates in the future…

Could you please tell me, where the above code is located, what template it is in? Thank you, d

    Hi sirrieh70,

Glad to hear I’m not the only one struggling here. What do you mean by your last remark

    rel=”lightbox[1]”

    Thanks, d

    Hi all,

Is there someone who can help me with this? Is there an alternative for the navigation arrows?

Any help is greatly appreciated. d

    Thanks esmi,

That worked ?? I now have plain thumbnails. By tweaking the CSS I’ve put them in rows instead of all in one long column.

Have a nice weekend, best, d
