I added define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true); in the wp.config.php file and now the Cache Crawler is working
Thank you for your previous help with the LiteSpeed Cache Crawler issues. After making adjustments, including disabling a security plugin, the crawler now partially functions. However, I’m still experiencing significant delays in site accessibility immediately after publishing or updating articles, updating plugins, or themes.
The issue is particularly noticeable in SEO tools like Seobility, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix, which frequently show “Page not accessible” errors for a few minutes post-update. Additionally, our social media distribution plugin posts content with substantial delays. The first page load after updates often takes between 40-60 seconds, which impacts the user experience, given our site’s frequent updates.
Could you advise on potential LiteSpeed Cache settings, or any adjustments that might help resolve this ongoing issue with post-update accessibility and load times?
Yes.
The resultat is:
object(WP_Error)#3416 (3) {
["errors"]=>
array(1) {
["http_request_failed"]=>
array(1) {
[0]=>
string(60) "cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds"
}
}
["error_data"]=>
array(0) {
}
["additional_data":protected]=>
array(0) {
}
}I tried, the result is the same: ?No valid sitemap parsed for crawler.”
I’ve continued troubleshooting and reached out to my hosting provider for additional assistance. They confirmed:
“We do not block the
curl
function in any way, and there are no server-level settings causing this timeout.”Additionally, I have:
- Temporarily deactivated all plugins, including the sitemap plugin, to rule out conflicts, but the issue remains.
- Reviewed my
.htaccess
file and removed any potentially interfering rules, yet the error still persists. - Verified with the security plugin support team, who also confirmed that there are no settings in the plugin that would block the LiteSpeed crawler.
Given this, could you advise if any LiteSpeed Cache settings or further
.htaccess
adjustments might help resolve this issue?- This reply was modified 3 months, 3 weeks ago by daniellacatus.
The result
object(WP_Error)#3425 (3) {
["errors"]=>
array(1) {
["http_request_failed"]=>
array(1) {
[0]=>
string(59) "cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 5001 milliseconds"
}
}
["error_data"]=>
array(0) {
}
["additional_data":protected]=>
array(0) {
}
}I have tested by disabling Drop Domain from Sitemap, as suggested, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue.
The delays are still present, both in page load times after updates and in external tools such as Seobility, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix, which still show errors like “This page is not accessible” immediately after publishing an article. The social media distribution plugin is also experiencing delays.
Additionally, right after publishing an article, tools like Seobility, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix often show errors like “This page is not accessible.” It takes several minutes for the page to become accessible. I am not sure what could be causing this issue.
Moreover, I’m using a premium plugin for social media distribution, which previously worked smoothly but now posts with substantial delays. For instance, articles published yesterday were shared on social media an hour later.
Any insights into these issues or configuration suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your response and for testing with the XML Sitemap Generator and LSC.
I am interested in using LiteSpeed Cache Crawler to help preload the site. Currently, every time I publish or update an article, or when any plugin or theme update occurs, the first page load is significantly delayed—sometimes taking between 40 and up to 60 seconds. Given that our site is very active and frequently updated, such delays could impact traffic, as readers may encounter slow loading times.

Could you please tell me if the Preload Cache option is available to me and where I can enable it in LiteSpeed or QUIC.cloud to avoid these delays after clearing the cache? If it is not available, are there any alternatives you would recommend to improve the initial load after cache clearing?
Thank you for checking. I also temporarily disabled the cache and noticed that the site loads quickly without it, similar to what you observed. However, the issue occurs specifically after I re-enable caching. Each time I clear the cache—either manually or after a plugin/theme update—the site can take up to one or two minutes to load, especially for the first few visits.
Additionally, I activated QUIC.cloud starting yesterday, hoping it would help, but the delayed loading times after cache clears are still happening. Could there be specific settings in QUIC.cloud or LiteSpeed that may be causing this prolonged load time?

In reply to: [Footnotes & Content] Inquiry regarding placement of WordPress FootnotesI tried your suggestion, added [awef show footnotes] and it works as I want, the only problem is that the footnote numbering starts at 2, not 1 as it should.

In reply to: [Footnotes & Content] Inquiry regarding placement of WordPress FootnotesI ditched that plugin and tried the WordPress Footnotes plugin, but the issues are the same.
As for spacing, it has been partially resolved. The problem is that in some articles there is too much white space, I would have liked the article to continue further, not below the table of contents.
