I’m trying to create my own template for abandoned carts, but I don’t have the option to add “abandoned products” as a widget. Is it only possible by selecting an abandoned cart template?
Do you mean that you are trying to create an automation from scratch without using one of the predefined options?
For users with the free?Starter?plan (or no plan), it will not be possible to Create custom automations — only a limited setup with basic templates will be available. Options to add/remove steps will be disabled.

- Back-Up Your Site and Database: Before proceeding with any changes, it’s crucial to ensure that you have a complete backup of your site and database. This step will safeguard your data, allowing you to restore your site to its current state if needed.
- Access phpMyAdmin from your website hosting settings.
- Locate the *_mailpoet_migrations table in the database.
- Delete all the entries in the *_mailpoet_migrations table. This action will force the migrations to re-run and update the database tables with the necessary columns.
- Deactivate and Reactivate the MailPoet Plugin: Although this step may not always be necessary, it can help ensure that the changes take effect properly. Navigate to the “Plugins” section of your WordPress dashboard, deactivate MailPoet, and then reactivate it.
- Test the Solution: Ideally, these steps should be performed on a staging site to avoid impacting your live site. If you don’t already have a staging environment set up, we recommend using the WP Staging plugin, which you can find here:?WP Staging Plugin.

Important: Before proceeding with these steps, it’s critical to ensure that you have a complete backup of your site and database. This measure would safeguard your data in case of any unintended complications during the process.

since installing it I have had constant problems with the connection to the database.
I have had a look at the system report that you shared and I see that the PHP and DB settings are a bit on the lower end:
WP info: WP_MEMORY_LIMIT: 40M - WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT: 512M - WP_DEBUG: - WordPress language: de_DEPHP info: PHP max_execution_time: 140 - PHP memory_limit: 512M - PHP upload_max_filesize: 150M - PHP post_max_size: 150
Can you work with your hosting company to increase those settings?
Once you have done it, if you still see the same issue, please share the complete error that you see with us.

the name in the setttings but emails are still coming out with the wrong sender name
You can change the general settings under
MailPoet > Settings > Basic tab
. You can edit the FROM and REPLY TO sections for that.Also those settings can be defined on an email basis so you’ll want to check your active emails (automations, post notifications…) and make sure that the Sender info looks like you want.
For instance this is a screenshot of where you would edit that info when creating/editing a newsletter:

I am new at Mailpoet and when I try to see if it works :O( I cannot see all the letter for the CAptcha. and second it say the number is no good. What should I do !!
Do you mean when trying to register for MailPoet at our site https://account.mailpoet.com/ or on your own site?
If it is on your own site you can change the captcha settings as explained in this doc.
