And I just wanted to help people finding a solution for their problem. But if you’re more eager to follow the forum rules blindly than helping someone solving their problem…
Though I didn’t find any forum rule forbidding me to answer multiple times to the same question!
From the rules “Being polite is extremely important to those of us who do help here. And when you get an answer that works, if you could come back to your thread and say so that would be wonderful.“
So when someone comes back to their original post they get an answer that works.
I’ve answered to the threads I found about this topic after doing a quick seach.
I thought about starting an own thread or answering to existing ones and came to the conclusion that I usually keep an eye on threads I’ve posted on in the past. If the thread starters do the same they won’t miss a possible solution for their original problem. So this maybe more helpful.
Though I’d agree with you if I’ve started three new threads.
I’ve created a plugin to deselect/untick the Uncategorized category upon selecting a different one. It seems like this is what you are looking for… So give deUncategorize a try!

In reply to: onAirNow – A “Now Playing” Plugin for WordPressI thought about supportinf an URL “ping” update and maybe will in the future. Many programs also support a file upload so this is no problem for a lot of people (like me). A side effect is that the file is written to my local hard drive by Recent Tunes (Mac program) and so I can test my plugin offline and my blog is also updated. Maybe this was the reason why I chose FTP over URL update. But I honestly can’t remember ?? (The latter would have been even easier to implement.)
Last night I wrote a short AppleScript to update my playing song whenever I want (via a key combo and thanks to Quicksilver). If anybody is interested… Kinda changes the name from “onAirNow” to “onAirSomewhereInThePast” ??
