the template layout and color scheme is very close to the original. I would not say it is a complete rip off of the original. I would prefer ‘hampsha’ to have a different color scheme, navigation system and background so that it can further stand out as an individual theme, that is really inspired from CSS Zen Garden. If not, I feel it should be “based on CS Zen Garden”

I prefer WP. It is simple to cutomised yet powerful.

Default installation have standard features but if you need more, you can easily extend it with pluggins

True, more spamers than commenters.
I remove the comment form and disabled the comments. Somehow, they are still able to spam my database. Luckily there is comment moderation. But I am tired to deleting comments manually and installed the Comment Killer. Hope it works.

The encoding WordPress is using is UTF-8. Multilingual should be posible.

installation took 5 minutes alright. But figuring out how to use it took a few days. Some features like permalinks took longer. But it is worth the effort and time spend.

have you check your root directory htaccess file?
I too meet up with this problem and found that it is due to the default file problem.

I am not a fan of layers so I am using tables too.
my menu, header, footer and content area are PHP included in my table layout.
