Oh weird that it was closed. Thanks for looking into it and updating me. Yeah I think a lot things can unfortunately break when wordpress updates, which is why I’m always cautious to give myself a few hours of time everytime I hit the update wordpress button to fix anything that might have gone wrong!

Thanks for letting me know and I’ll keep a look out for it, and for the update to the plugin that will allow us to use our permalink structure.

Hi – just checking in on this, have you managed to find out if there’s a problem with using ?ontrapage= ?

Ah I see. Thank you I appreciate you checking if there’s any problem with doing it this way. We really can’t use just %postname% as the categories are used to further stream our readers so we can retarget more effectively with content they are actually interested in – and that’s not something we want to lose.

Please do let me know if and when you find out from your developers if this is ok or if there’s an issue with using ?ontrapage=

It works if I put ?ontraport= before the slug for that page.

This may be something to pass forward to whoever updates the knowledge articles and maybe to whoever creates the plugins that an extra step needs to be included in the instructions under the “Publishing Your ONTRApage” section and in the WordPress subsection.

The instructions end with the “Add New” link button. However, after you have added your ONTRApage, the plugin does not automatically add ?ontrapage to the URL. I had no idea that I was required to put in ?ontrapage= before the URL, and so I was trying to view the page and it wasn’t working. See here: https://screencast.com/t/jtdzIRPAjl

So I think an extra step in the article needs to tell people that ONTRApages are then accessed through <yoururl>/?ontrapage=<your-page-slug>
