No, it wasn’t the plugin, when I increased my php.ini upload limit I also increased my post size and put the php.ini file in my WP Admin folder, the problem righted itself when I deleted the line to increase the post size, upload limit is at 64MB.

I am trying to upload a plugin called WP RSS Magnet which is about 2.8MB so it should handle it with ease now but if I try to upload I am asked if I really want to do it and try again, if I try to upload via ftp I can see the file uploaded but it does not show in my Installed Plugin list, still strange.

Something is blocking it but I have tried deactivating all my plugins but no difference!

Do you have any other ideas

Yes I saw the comments within Bulletproof but what I can’t see is how to unlock my root htaccess file, the instructions are fine but like a lot of manuals they assume a technical competence a lot of us don’t have which is why I am nervous about Bulletpoint!

So can you help, how do I lock and unlock my htaccess file and is it likely that this is also the reason W3TC is not talking to Cloudflare?

Thank you for your reply but, and I am sorry, that is like telling me to build a space rocket so it won’t happen!

I am told by Curationsoft that I need to setup a rule in bulletproof antivirus program which will allow CS to go out to the internet when searching for content.

Now, as that is still in space rocket mode I am not sure if that is what you are saying.

At the end of the day if I want to use Curationsoft then either Bulletproof has to make itself compatible with Curationsoft or the other way around, if not the only answer is to drop one or the other.

What are the best alternatives to Bulletproof, bear in mind that apart from bulletproof I am protected by Cloudflare and Sucuru Security.

Is it easy to remove Bulletproof safely?

Site back up and running, ran securi scan again and it is verified clean.

I essentiall got a full backup from my ISP, deleted everything in my web space and replaced it with the backup, belt & braces approach, the only folder it would not let me delete was the ftp log folder.

I have of course changed my password, do I need to change my user name, if so what is the best way to do that?

Is there anything else I should do, is there a good plugin which offers site protection, any help is welcome?

Thank you for your help and sorry for being a little impatient.

Yes that seems to have solved the problem apart from the paragraph down font size problem which is probably down to the theme.

For info I change the fonts by highlighting the text and clicking on the box in the top left corner, is it possible to set a default font for the site?

I am reducing my plugins, I am sure some of the plugin functionality ois now dealt with inside WordPress but with regard to the theme, I can appreciate the options available within Atahualpa can be a nightmare, what I am looking for is a rotating header, one sidebar either side, the ability to remove sidebars on pages and easy insertion of html script etc. can you recommend a more WordPress friendly theme?

I will keep you informed of developments and once again thank you for your help

Don’t know what is happening, posted about 4 hours ago but seems to have vanished, as if it has been taken down.

I am sorry to continually highlight errors with the 3.5 upgrade but they are a fact and it is no good hiding from them, WordPress is the worlds best blogging program even web site but this upgrade does not work, to repeat:
1)
I cannot maintain fonts when I paragraph down, need to reset fonts for every paragraph!
2)
At the bottom of every post I put links to relevant articles, highlight text, click link icon, insert link and save but when I save it messes up the spacing and the link vanishes!

I have tried the Twenty Twelve theme and deactivated ALL my plugins but to no avail.

Is no one prepared to help, just accepting you have a problem with 3.5 would be a step forward.

I need to sort this out so can someone please, please either let me have a solution or outline a safe method of reversing the upgrade because everything worked fine before.

Please just talk to me, I thank you, in anticipation, for your/any help.

With regard to links, all my posts have links at the end of the post but they were all posted before I upgraded but you can see what I mean by links!

Again I know we must be patient but the amount of valuable time you can waste on something like this is frightening

Remember the links are important enough but it is also the font size, to have to reset it for every paragraph is really annoying and it is the same after I have deactivated ALL my plugins!

Tried plugins but appears still the same, will have another look in the morning but looks to have been issued too soon, must be a problem with 3.5, really wish I hadn’t installed it now.

there must be a lot of people having these problems, any other ideas?

After my post I usually add links to relevant articles for further reading by the usual method i.e. highlight the text, click the link button and paste the link into the box but as soon as I save, publish or draft the links become inactive
