Just wondering if there’s any chance this is going to get answered. I combed the help pages (before I posted this question, and after) and didn’t find anything that shed light on this issue.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast meta box and Rich Snippets pluginsI know how to look at source code, but not where to look for info on rich snippets and SEO meta. Could you clarify what I’m looking for or where to look in the source code?
I had this same problem. I temporarily fixed it by rolling back to the previous version of Nelio Content.
Thank you for your prompt response.
My main worry is whether it might be counting archived posts as trash. I use the
LH Archived Post Status plugin to add an archived post status option and remove archived posts from blog and archive pages, but allow users who have a direct link to still see these archived posts. I just don’t want to inadvertently delete these posts.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Broke WordPress CommentsHi Scott,
I will not reconsider my review. It is not unfair, but entirely accurate. I went through the support process and never want to spend another Sunday of my life like that again. How dare you call that “without making any reasonable effort to receive support?” What’s reasonable to you guys? Clearly not 1 hour or 3 hours or six. Should I spend a week on trying to find a solution with you guys? A year? Is it *never* fair to leave a bad review?
Oh, wait. I know. That *is* the answer. In fact, the tech support person I worked with told me I shouldn’t leave a bad review because Spamshield is “free” and it’s not fair to leave negative feedback on something that’s “free.”
Well, Spamshield certainly isn’t “free” when I consider all the time I’ve put into it. And honestly, if you guys provided what you promised and offered support that didn’t include “don’t leave a bad review” in almost every interaction, I would happily pay.
And if no one ever left negative feedback on plugins that are “free”, there would be no way to inform the WordPress community of any problem with any WordPress plugin available on www.remarpro.com. The review system would be useless.
My consistent experience with the support staff at Spamshield is that you guys all want to blame someone else for problems with your plugin. It’s the user’s fault, or the admin’s fault, or some other plugin. If you guys had been willing to work with me to identify an actual plugin conflict, I might have bought it. But it was just a lot of “follow the instructions you already followed on our help pages” and “I don’t believe you when you tell me that you already did that troubleshooting step twice, you have to do it again with me tracking the action on your computer or I won’t continue to provide help” and “don’t leave us a bad review, it’s not our fault” — both here and in your emails.
Also, I’ve updated my review above to include bad experiences with Spamshield from the UX side. Please don’t tell me again that my review is unfair, that it’s really the site admin’s fault for doing this or this or this. Users have a right to know that Spamshield in no way guarantees a good UX, especially because that is your chief selling point.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] CSS background color propertyDo you mean the CSS? I added the CSS to Simple CSS on the page in question.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [GeneratePress] CSS background color propertyThanks! This seems to work a little differently from the one in the Customizer, as it provides a backdrop for the entire page (including the text at the center), whereas when I choose a Background Color in the customizer, the text has a white background and the color only shows to the left and right of the text block.
But perhaps that’s a function of my using Elementor? If so, I’ll ask around there about solutions.
Thanks!

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Menu covered by full size pagesYou should probably move this to the Elementor forum or ask on the Elementor Facebook group.
That said, it sounds like you might have set your page template to “elementor canvas,” which would cause your menu and any other standard page items not to show.
If that’s not the solution, asking you one of those other groups will probably get you what you need.
Thank you!
I would like to make a friendly suggestion. Instead of assuming that your reviewers are selfishly refusing to support the paid version and giving them an explanation for why they shouldn’t get expect to get everything for free, maybe assume that they don’t know that the features they are asking for are offered in the paid version.
A direct, “Thanks for your feedback. We offer a free version and a paid version. The features you are looking for are available in the paid version. The paid version helps us keep the plugin sustainable and up-to-date. Let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks for your feedback,” would make a better impression on me and probably others who didn’t know these features were available in the paid version.
Of course, this may vary by the culture of the commenter. I am North American, from the US East Coast. I likely do not speak for all people. ??
