Have you gone into Customiz’it! to set your front page options?

Yep, but Customizr Home Page Settings don’t have anything to do with determining which of several pages is the Home Page. It seems logical to me that the page you designate as your Home page in Navigation ought to be controlling.

Strange. I never needed to do that.

I’m not completely sure I got a good install of Customizr. I haven’t done a lot of WP and freely admit I don’t really get it, but I never had these kinds of issues either.

Thanx ElectricFeet. As you suggested, I set the Permalinks to “Post Name” which is where it was when I encountered the problem. WP then informed me that I needed to make my .htaccess “writeable for “Post Name” to work. That gave me a slight headache for a minute or two until I figured out I didn’t have an .htaccess file and needed one. I created it with Dreamweaver and now it seems to be working the way I wanted. WP is certainly different but I wouldn’t call it “easy” ??

Hey mybdis, Thanx a bunch. I found the permalinks section and reset it to “Default” and navigation works. However, it’s not going to be very search engine friendly. I may read up some more and try some of the other options. Thanx again.

Hmmmm. Permalinks!? WordPress is indeed a brave new world. ?? I don’t (yet) know what permalinks are, how I could have messed them up, or how to fix them. I guess I’ll do a little research and take another run at it. If you’ve got some suggestions, I wouldn’t be offended ??

Never mind. I went to bed, woke up and all was right with the world. Must be a “feature” of WordPress ??
