In reply to: [Social Media Auto Publish] Line Breaks and Font WeightNevermind on #1 – apparently I just need to put each on separate line in admin – didn’t seem to work earlier but does now. ??
So – question is just how to bold the text for {POST_TITLE} in Facebook. It’s already bold in Twitter.
Thanks

In reply to: Audio PlayerThat was a good thought, James, thank you. I switched over to the Twenty Fifteen but there was no difference. The player is just too thin – would be great if it would expand significantly.
Will search for a plugin player I guess.
Thanks again!
DafWe bring in both individual feeds (national news, entertainment, business, etc…) and send them to individual categories for display on our site – as well as a “top stories” feed. This last feed is a combination of the top stories in each of the other feeds and we use it to feed out Roster Slider. The slider is set to rotate a particular WP category. So you see I need to have an aggregator that will create posts in a category for that Top Stories feed – as well as create the posts to populate the other individual news categories.
I hope I explained that clearly.
Thanks
DafAdjusted my rating and initial review as I may have been a bit unfair. I do appreciate the support and will give WP RSS Aggregator another shot in the future.
Thank you
This behaviour is desired almost universally
“Almost” is the key word is our situation I guess.
I did not say the plugin didn’t work – I said it did not work consistently for us. While I would not change the rating based on this conversation, I would be open to deleting the review altogether. I do not see a way to do so. If that is possible please let me know how.
We may give WP RSS Aggregator another chance in the future. We simply can’t waste any more time with it at this point when 2 of the free plugins are doing exactly what we need them to do.
Thank you for the explanations and support.
Hi Chirag – I keep bringing this up and it’s not addressed. If I have the Unique Titles Only UNCHECKED – which I do – it should be importing. The other aggregators do so. I have since removed all other feeds from WP RSS Aggregator and it still won’t fetch or create posts. If I disable FeedtoPost it will fetch but of course no posts are created. Sorry for the bad review but this plugin does not work as expected or even as well (with multiple feeds) any of the other free plugs. It was a waste of money for us. I strongly suggest that people demo this on their site before buying.
Thanks

In reply to: [SharePress] No More Support???Never mind – just got a reply to a new ticket. Maybe the other replies got sucked into my spam filter? Sorry if so – please disregard this post.

In reply to: Unclosed html tags (get_the_content)Not really finding anything like that … could use a shove in the right direction, please. ?? How would one truncate the_content without breaking a html tag or middle of a word?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

In reply to: Unclosed html tags (get_the_content)Thanks, Matt – that sounds like a plan! I’ll see what I can find out about that. Any leads as to what terms may yield the best search results? Is there a php or wordpress function already in place for that?
Thanks again!

In reply to: WP3.6 custom fields dropdown with strange behaviour after updateThanks, morollian – but the problem was actually having too many values – and the ones I needed were at the very bottom of the list. I ended up having to delete quite a few from the database – seems that NextGen Gallery adds a couple dozen to the list.
Thanks!

In reply to: WP3.6 custom fields dropdown with strange behaviour after updateBut seriously – google is your friend here. Consider yourself lucky that I am in a great mood today, since you can not expect other people to do all the work for you…
Ha ha. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses, cizko. I can google jquery stuff all day and not have a clue what to do with the results. That’s why people come to these help forums for advice. My profession is medicine, I’m a great deal more knowledgeable in that field – I’ll tell you what… should you ever come to one of the free clinics I give once a month instead of treating your illness I’ll tell you to google the diagnosis and treatment instead. ??
I do sincerely thank you for your help today – no disrespect intended with the above. ??

In reply to: WP3.6 custom fields dropdown with strange behaviour after updateGot it – thanks!
For the record – it turns out that the values that I was “missing” were not missing after all – just at the bottom of a very long list. Apparently WP will only show a certain number of options in that dropdown – if the list exceeds that number the remainder will not be shown.
Plugins like NextGen add a LOT of entries to the list thus pushing the rest to the bottom.
Thanks again.

In reply to: WP3.6 custom fields dropdown with strange behaviour after updateHa ha – not easy for me at all. Any hints at how to do so? ??
And if you reset it to no content does that undo the above action (code above)?
Thanks!
