This is still an issue.

For example, when using CForm7 on a Woocommerce site, Woo forces https on the checkout pages and all urls update EXCEPT Contact Form 7. This is the css file in question.

wp-content/plugins/cforms/styling/cforms.css

Can you please update it to call the css path relatively so that it uses https instead of forcing http?

Understandable. I only have 2 or 3 hacks like this that I use semi-regularly. I usually just keep a log file of what to review, if the site uses the hack, before/after running any updates.

The solution above removes it from the category list, usually in sidebars. To remove it in posts, remove it from /wp-includes/content-template.php
