Downgrading works but the plugin has security vulnerabilities.
This plugin was updated 3 weeks ago? I am going to give the developer the benefit of the doubt but I’ll have to rethink our premium subscription if we don’t hear soon. I assume he is maybe taking a bit of time off for the summer. This was a wonderful plugin but this update has issues.
I have a bunch of sites myself. I am waiting to see if the developer will fix this. If not, I will either do it myself with the help of ChatGPT or try something else. I am a premium member. I opened a ticket a few days ago and still have not heard back. It doesn’t look good, I have to say

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Amp4WP 1.0.91 breaks Swift ThemeHi guys,
No problem. You want us to share it here or email it to you? Is there a place to submit the file on your site or do you want it here?

In reply to: [AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages] Amp4WP 1.0.91 breaks Swift Theme@dopple32r thanks for confirming it. I thought maybe it was me. I downgraded and it works. And amp pages are valid, so I will use that until there is a fix. I am sure there is an easy fix.

In reply to: [Redirection] Unable to load Redirection ?? v5.3.10I think it is 56.0.2. I know it is very old ?? The reason I use it is because of an extension I use for work that is not available for newer versions of Firefox. It worked fine and there were no issues but the new version of Redirection doesn’t work on it. That’s fine. No big deal. It’s not anybody’s fault. It’s my fault. I should not use this old browser for serious work. ??
Sorry about wasting your time. Thanks for all the help.

In reply to: [Redirection] Unable to load Redirection ?? v5.3.10I may have found the solution. It seems the problem is an old Firefox. It says unable to load on Firefox (older version) but on Chrome, everything loads fine. Well, sorry about that ?? I wish older firefox was supported too but no big deal. Not the developer’s fault.

In reply to: [Redirection] Unable to load Redirection ?? v5.3.10It shouldn’t but it did in this case on one site only. 5.3.9 works absolutely fine. We have over 20 sites. All of them don’t work with 5.3.10 but work with 5.3.9 with no problem. We didn’t change any plugins, we didn’t change any theme code, it definitely is something with the plugin that is not allowing it to load.
@beniellis does 5.3.10 work for you at all? Or are you using 5.3.9?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Homepage Does Not Update without Manual PurgeJust to update, we downgraded to the previous version and now everything works. Here is the strange part: all the sites running WordPress 6.1 don’t update the homepage unless we use the previous version of Litespeed. We had one site that was using the previous version of WordPress but the latest version of Litespeed and for some reason that worked.
So here is what our investigation shows:
LiteSpeed 5.2.1 + WordPress 6.1 works just fine.
LiteSpeed 5.3 + WordPress 6.1 frontpage does not purge automatically
LiteSpeed 5.3 + WordPress 6.0.3 works just fineAll settings on our sites are identical. And we have been running Litespeed for months with no changes.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Homepage Does Not Update without Manual PurgeThanks for getting back to me. To be honest with you, we installed this plugin a few months ago, set up the purge settings on Purge All on Upgrade, then chose auto purge rules for front page, homepage, pages, all pages with recent posts widgets, post type archives, and term archive.
We didn’t use any advanced settings. And it was working fine for months before the last update. A post would be scheduled, when it went live, front page would update. Now it does not. The pages are published by WordPress but the old cached version of the frontpage is shown and is not refreshed without manual purge.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Problem with LS Cache on Older Browsers and Older PhonesOK. I will mark this as solved but I will continue testing different browsers and newer devices. If I encounter this issue on this new devices, I will let the team know. Thanks again for all the help!

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Problem with LS Cache on Older Browsers and Older PhonesAbsolutely. I love debugging code, so I was just curious. I confirmed this issue when I tried visiting my site on an old Android phone and iMac (Safari). What you said makes sense. I will keep digging to see if I can figure out a way around this but I accept it is not a big problem as most people don’t use these older browsers now.
By the way, this thread also seems to describe the same issue:
https://forum.openlitespeed.org/threads/eternal-page-reloading-when-guest-mode-is-enabled.5186/My concern is I don’t know which browsers have this behavior. Is it just old browsers? Could it be newer devices that have this issue and I am not realizing?

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Problem with LS Cache on Older Browsers and Older Phones@ Cache Crawler
Yes, I have the guest mode enabled. When I disable it, the issue goes away. When I enable it, it comes back. The strangest thing. Also, AdSense ads don’t load on old mobile phones, fonts don’t either. But when I disable guest mode, they do. It definitely is the Guest Mode that is causing this.
I played around with the Tuning section but so far no success.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Problem with LS Cache on Older Browsers and Older PhonesHi,
Thanks for getting back to me. @cache Crawler, the problem is this error should not exist. I get your point about nobody using older browsers but it is still something that is only happening with the plugin active.
@qtwrk, thanks for the information. As far as TLS error, the site doesn’t have any with the plugin disabled. The sites and the ads all load fine when the plugin is disabled. As soon as we activate the plugin, both these issues happen.
So I read the suggestions here and went to another site of mine and tested every single setting. It seems when we activate Guest Mode, this happens. Both issues seem to be related to that. I have tested this extensively now. On multiple sites. When I turn off the Guest Mode, sites load smoothly on all browsers, new and old. Old and new phones. Any idea what could be the reason?
Just to clarify, this is not a criticism of this plugin. I love what it does. I simply write and debug code for a living and thought it was curious this issue was happening.
