I’m missing the Contact form 7 and WordPress installer

I tried re-installing them but I got the error message telling me that they are already installed

However, I also tried to install Yoast yesterday, and it came up with an error message, so I tried again today and it’s worked, so I might just give it another go

I understand some of what you are talking about – I’m still quite new to this game!

The site is hosted by sgis.co.uk, and I think that I used the 5 minute install from the CGI scripts menu. However, I’m not 100% convinced that it worked, and when I tried it again, it came up with an error message about a directory not being empty (I don’t know which directory this is, and how to empty it!)

I paid to have the site migrated and the person that did it is telling me that the procedure worked (and it appears that this is so), but has not been very forthcoming since then, so I’ve had to take the matter into my own hands. The site is OK, but I need to improve functionality and add some plugins.

I’ve looked at the pages you suggest, and have taken some of the actions – I managed to back up the data and repair the broken files.

If I could only access the dashboard, I can really get to work!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I’m having what appears to be a very similar problem. However, I don’t have the knowledge of the above users, so much of the conversation (lets face it, nearly all of it!) doesn’t mean much to me.

Any help would be appreciated (in simple terms ?? )

I’ve re-named the plugins in FTP, but that’s pretty much the limit of my knowledge

One thing: I’m not sure if I did the 5 minute WP install – I sort of assume that nothing would happen without this anyway, so it’s likely that I have already done it…….

OK. Here’s where I’m at. Still blank dashboard: I’ve tried de-activating the plugins, and changing the theme via FileZilla. Still nothing.
Not sure where to go next

I use the icon at the top of the page in my dashboard and then add the text I want on the page in the settings menu. It works most of the time but not for this one

Sorry, it’s not up and running yet.

I’ve done that, but I’m hesitant to take the next step, mainly a fear-based attitude as my website is important to my business!
