Thanks, Tom. I’m trying to figure all this out. I’ll get it step by step.

Insofar as the background is concerned I did download the bricks unfortunately, I could not paste it. What I then did was take a screenshot of the bricks and downloaded that and yes it did post, unfortunately, I had black background in it as well (it didn’t cover the entire page. Any suggestions on that?

Tom, the contact form I have is from the JetPack app(widget?).
I think it may be a hosting issue and have run it by my host since some of my hosting info proceeds the code for the contact form. Will Brick Yard take the Jet Pack contact form?

    Thnx,
    Robert

Just a little more info on the contact form. I only have code showing on the Visual page. I set it up both ways first on the text page and then on the visual page and all I get is a code description.

Well, Mike, I can’t find the html button.

Yes, there is a url on the page.

I did try to enter [si-contact-form=’2′] and the same thing happens.

Mike, it might be helpful to see it yourself. Please go to cycleshanty.net.

I have two contact pages. Mike this site is my laboratory for wordpress so it doesn’t have to look good. Please do take a look for yourself.

Mike, can’t find form numbers, where can I find them? When I went to your example site I got the [si-contact-form=’1′] code.

What I’d like is a form similar to the one I saw with captcha and no appointment setting item.

I entered it on the existing page and I added a new page. Both kicked out the error and neither displayed [caption].

Also, I use Childishly Very Simple as a theme.

I do have a problem. I am trying to get a contact form on a page and I followed your instructions. [si-contact-form=’1′] was put where you said to put it. When I went to view the page an error told me some # was wrong. I am not a geek so please explain it so I understand it.

I have WP 3.6.1 and can either add a new page or add the cntact form to the existing page.

Please tell me how to do this. Also, on the screen shot there was a comment issue and I could not find it further down the page. Now what?

    Please help.

I had a similar problem, although, I was using a different theme. I had a menu page and for some reason the text was permanently deleted. What I did was add another new page, published it, and then went to the dummy menu page and deleted it. All was well. While I am not an expert I will suggest first deleting the content on one of the home pages. Then edit the home page title to some thing different and delete the dummy menu item.

WARNING!!! I am not an expert. You’re getting some good advice from esmi, who for some reason, has a unique ability to get me straight. Definitely go with her advice before you try what I’m saying.

I can’t believe it. I just deleted the problem, re wrote it, updated and now its working. I’ll let you know if it changes back to nightmare. For now all I can say is why and how did this happen?

    Will note this as resolved.

Thanks Yogi, I had no idea what Caching was all about. If this happens again, and I might add, this is the first time I lost password protection on protected pages, I will check with my host about caching. There are no plug ins; I’m still afraid of them.

What is so beautiful about this forum are you and esmi, without you I’d be bald already.

    Thnx, again, Bro.

Just and update, I went back and switched to public, updated, went back to password protected, entered a new password updated, logged out brought up my site and now it is working. I’d still like to know what this cache thing is, how to find it and how to clear it. Also, very important to me and everyone else why didn’t the password protect the pages?

    Thread Starter cyclesha

    (@cyclesha)

Also, how does a person clear the cache?

Deleted all plugins. Reset up site. Yogi, it seems to work with 2013, however, with Childishly Very Simple its not. It worked perfectly all along. and now as you can see the page cannot be found even though it is there.

Just did that and I still cant figure it out. Yes the page is there with 2013 and when I activate Childishly Simple it disappears. Now what?
