I have the sme problem. When I try to log into my admin I’m told they don’t have my email address and I’d like to reset my password. I did email [email protected] and am waiting for a reply.

Anything you can tell me that will give me hope?

Can’t believe it. All seems to be working. I think it may have been the cache. cleared it, waited a while and all seems to be well.

What could the problem have been if not the cache? I’m sure others would like to know in addition to myself.

Perhaps we need to find a really, really geeky geek to figure this out. It seems like all that’s happened here is that we’re dealing with a draft that needs to be published. What I mean is it’s there, we can see it, it’s just that it does nothing.

If anyone knows code perhaps a look at the plugin editor will tell us something.

No, I have not. I did message the plug in designer and I’m still waiting for a reply.

I did install it and it didn’t work only the primary password worked and the multiples were deleted when I tried to enter them for access to the page.

Does anyone out there know if this plugin works with any other version?

I now have WP version 4.1. I downloaded the plugin. Yup, me too. I password protected the pages, entered a password and was unable to enter more than one “multiple” passwords. The only password that worked was the primary password and I might add when I checked the protect form again I found out the “multiple” password was deleted.

We need step by step direction on this.

What would also be great is if we had a password counter so we could tell who and how many times a password is used on a page.

Marc, I found it. I had bbPress Members Only plug in activated. It was the plug in that caused the problem. I deleted it from my plug in list and all seems to be well.

No. That I haven’t done. I’m using Childishly Simple and have had no problems with any other plugin. I can view the text and codes. What should I look for there? I can contact the theme author about it although I’d like to know what to tell him.

If all else fails I will try another theme just to find out. The problem is in changing back. The whole theme needs to be set up again.

That is in my Forums index page already.

I did add a new Forums page pasted that code in the page and published it. I tried it out after clearing my browser and nothing happened.

I’m starting to think its 4.1. What do you think?

Marc, the following: .htaccess already exists. in/home/cyclesha/public_html is in existence already. I checked it and you can see the message.

Now what?

Marc, I’m totally confused. I did get with the bbPress forum and still have no answer. I just can’t determine where the problem lies. I will try to find my WP root directory although if I do find it what should I be looking for and where? What should be deleted and replaced and with what?

Marc, is there an engineer with WP or bbPress that could explain this?

You asked a question I know nothing about. Where are .htaccess files and what would I be looking for?

All I can tell you is that everything about the site works fine and I saw no mention of the files anywhere relative to the plugin or otherwise.

Just did that. With each step I also cleared my browser so nothing could interfere. I have not yet checked itsince a few minutes of time may help. I entered a custom permalink. Saved it,checked the front end and there was no change, I then swirched back to the original “default” setting and am going to check that on the front end. Perhaps you could from your browser to ensure its not my browser.
