Thank you for the fast reply. I checked in a different browser, and you’re right, it works fine. Clearing my cache has it all working great now. It was either a combination of me not clearing the cache, or viewing it while logged in, which had the admin panel at the top covering it. But it works great now for visitors. Thanks!

Did you ever find an answer to this? I’m looking to do the same thing.

Set it up initially as a link type menu item with an address in the URL box (it won’t let you add it initially without it), and then once it is in place go back and remove the URL.

Sorry, I should have been more precise with my wording. My changes have all been to a child theme. I haven’t touched Twenty Fourteen itself.

I’m periodically trying out other things on my test site, and might have brief periods even with other themes there. Here’s a screenshot in case the Twenty Fourteen theme isn’t live on the site:

(The site is heavily modified from the base Twenty Fourteen, using the Fourteen Extended plugin, and the styles and color plugins. I’m trying to end up with a “clean” look with ample whitespace.)
