I ended up resolving this by using a plugin (Hover Effects Builder).

Yes, I realize that now. However, I do think when it comes to two-factor authentication that a plugin should make it at least somewhat hard to lock oneself out. That being said, you are right – I should have posted in the support forum. I will do that and update my review.

Thank you and sorry for the late reply. So far I have only tried “Option 2” (as it was the easiest), but it didn’t work well for me. It seemed to tweak the placement of the whole form in ways that weren’t flattering. I am using a responsive layout – which probably has something to do with it – and it moved all the way to the left of my viewport and caused a couple of unusual effects on the border.

I might try the first solution you suggested, as it gives me more formatting flexibility, but now, in the end, I’m inclined to just change the whole form to a single-column format. Being a responsive layout, I realize that the single-column arrangement works the best if it’s viewed on a smaller device.

Oh, I should mention, the logo is slightly larger than the recommended 250x100px.

You’re welcome! The developer of Super Socializer goes to great lengths to support his users, as well. He has helped me so much I think he deserves the plug…

Never mind, I figured it out. For anyone else that might have the same problem, it’s in the .htaccess file.

I uninstalled and went back to Super Socializer. It has other features that may not be needed, but they can be disabled. I haven’t had any problems with that plugin.

I just installed this plugin and get what I think everyone is describing. I just get nothing. No comment box whatsoever.

Okay, as a follow up. Once I saw that it was somewhere in my css it was really, really easy to find. Here’s the snippet.

/* Remove Post Icon/Title */
.post .entry-title.format-icon {
display: none;
}

I don’t have any idea why I put that in there – it was pretty long ago. In any case, removing that completely fixed my problem.

Your advice is helping me narrow it down. Changing back to the Customizr theme resolved the problem. Previously, I had renamed the style.css in the child theme and refreshed thinking that would pretty much do the same thing, but I see it did not. Perhaps much of that information is cached by the underlying architecture(s) – apache2, php, wordpress, etc. – I don’t know. In any case, doing it your way worked.

Now I just have to find what I did in the style.css to mess it up. When I find it I’ll add it here in case it helps someone else someday…

I have tried this with all plugins disabled and I get the same results.
