I’ve also noticed that “Role Usage” option is not available in my Permissions menu, could I be missing an additional necessary plugin?
Again, I do have Press Permit Pro.
I think what I am asking is, why on the “Edit Permission Group” screen, are only the core WordPress roles available as Supplemental Roles? I would like to be able to add my custom created roles (as in all users with this role) to the group. My custom created roles are not available in the drop down.
Has anyone been able to successfully perform a bulk import?
Regardless of my settings I receive “[ERROR] Error retrieving group members for group “My Users”
Authorization is working as desired. Authentication is working as desired.
What is the difference in the settings for Bulk Import and for Authorization? Why are my users found in Authorization, but not in Bulk Import?
Thanks

In reply to: [Active Directory Integration] Unable to configure authorization by Group(s)Ok, I have figured this out.
The point of confusion was with “OU” versus “AD Groups”.
I was under the impression that I need to use the OU from users DNs to authorize.
What this plugin actually expects is a group defined in Active Directory, rather than a OU from the distinguished name.
So, in the case of: CN=Jones\, George (Developers),OU=Justice Integration Services,DC=JIS,DC=org – Justice Integration Services was NOT what needed to be entered for group authorization, but rather a Active Directory “class type” of “group”, which in this case was “JIS Employees”.
Hope this helps others.

In reply to: Media Library and Uploader suddenly not working.Denise,
I would:
– Do a fresh install of the latest WordPress
– Install your current theme for fun, to see what it looks like, tweak
– Install all necessary plugins
– Migrate, organize, and update your content
– Tell your customer what a huge favor you have done them
With the excellent updating options in the latest WordPress you shouldnt have this problem again. Moving your theme shouldnt be much trouble. The ease of use you will gain from your new install will make this happen quickly.

In reply to: Media Library and Uploader suddenly not working.Denise, Im pretty confident that this issue is due to an incomplete or corrupted download, for whatever reason… at least it appears so in my case… wordpress bug tracking suggested the same.
Are you self hosted?
If so, installing WP core from the server itself (previously downloaded) rather than from a fresh download worked for me…
I resolved this using the My Calendar {details} tag to build my link, rather than manually.
Thanks for this great plugin!
Hey Joe, thanks for getting back to me.
I realized that my issue is that I am building my link to the actual event incorrectly. I’m finding it difficult to construct a link to an single event details page.
Here is my site:

In reply to: Media Library and Uploader suddenly not working.MacManX, I have done the re-download thing numerous times in varying fashion with zero success.
I can install any prior version clean and the media upload stuff works just fine.
But I can not do the same with 4.0.

In reply to: Media Library and Uploader suddenly not working.Development seems to think this is a server issue or the result of an incomplete download. I’m not sure I agree, glad I have a workaround:
