It has an anti-virus scanner (enough to understand which files contain malicious code or a backdoor), the Smart Security module, protection against exhaustion, scans your site for blacklists, protects the admin area and much more, and it’s free.

The heuristic algorithm can generate false positives like the ones you mentioned.
But, you need it to find new viruses, and to do so we sometimes go thru hundreds of files.If you understand the benefits of heuristic algorithm then you understand that the benefits out-way the disadvantages.
If you don’t want to see the false positives just don’t use this scan level.

Can you send us additional details (print-screens of the errors and what version of WP are you running) so that our tech.Department can take a look

Can you please tell us what level of scanning you used?
If you used basic or recommended scanning then the probability of a virus is close to 95%. We use Heuristic and known signature scanning.
The “Professional” scanning was developed to find zero day threats and is for the professional user.

meantime what you can do is disabling the “Smart-Protection”, “Anti Spam” and “Anti Bot” features. When you’ll be done editing the page switch them back on.

We’ve contacted them several times but they have yet to add our scanner to their white list.

The main advantage of our plugin and what sets us apart from our competitors is that, apart from using a known, constantly updated signature list, we apply a heuristic algorithm. But this is also our weak spot. When we apply the heuristic algorithm you get false positives and trying to get rid of all of them is something we are working on. We are constantly updating our white list.

In case of marking other scanners as malware – the scanner detects their signature list and marks it as a malware.
