That would truly be the cherry on top of the cake for me if you could! I’m super excited that it’s already on your radar.
Looking forward to it!
Thanks,
– C.Excellent! Thank you so much!! ??
Fixed.
I doubt this is the same problem you’re having, Amanolar. But for me it turns out the Category I was trying to put my files into didn’t have a folder on the actual server. All my other categories did though. I simply deleted the category and remade it, saw it generated a folder on the server, and was able to successfully move it into that category. How weird!
I’m guessing since I recently did a server switch, it probably didn’t transfer totally right.
I’m having the same problem with verison 0.2.9.34 on wordpress 3.5.1.
I’m wondering if it’s something to do with Better WP Security plugin? I haven’t had this problem before with other wordpress sites. I’m using an unfamiliar webhost this time around too though…

In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] Advanced Link / Anchor List Broken with 3.5 Beta 2ETA: I upgraded a local site to WP 3.5.1 beta and it appears to have resolved the issue on regular links, but not links that are wrapped around in image — which, of course, is what I need it for…

In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] Advanced Link / Anchor List Broken with 3.5 Beta 2I’m wondering if my problem is the same as the others? I’m trying to apply a Style class onto a link (directly onto the “a” tag), but it always goes to whatever the parent item is.
For example, if it’s a link inside a table cell, the class is applied to the td. If it’s a link inside a list, it applies the class to the li.
No matter what I do I can’t target the “a” tag, which is what I need! Help?
That would be it!
I could’ve sworn I’ve tried it with the config settings using the full path before and it didn’t work… maybe I was just doing it wrong. My package this time was a measly 15mb, woohoo!
Thanks so much for your response, and especially for being so quick about it. This is truly one of my favorite plugins of all time, and the great support behind it makes it even better… ??
Thanks so much,
– C.Sorry to re-open this, but I’ve tried using the “Directory Filters” but have not been able to get them to work. I’ve checked your site’s online docs and haven’t been able to find an answer.
In the config settings > Exclusion Filters > Directories, I have listed:
wp-content/uploads;wp-content/gallery;
But neither of those directories are being excluded and my backups are still 400mb+. What’s the proper syntax for listing directories?
Thank you,
– C.Sadly, we ended up using another jcarousel that doesn’t function nearly as well… but if I need to use another jcarousel in he future w/ another project, I’ll keep this in mind. Thank you!
I think that’d be fine! I have a couple plugins that work just like that: You open the dialog box, enter the settings, and click insert to get the shortcode.
If I ever need to go back and redo anything, I just erase the shortcode and remake it. And this particular plugin doesn’t have an enormous amount of settings you use regularly, so I think that’d be perfect actually. ??
I’ve found as a work-around that if I upload the file icon to my images folder (or even template/images folder) and then direct link to it that way instead of using the image url variable, it isn’t updated when the plugin is updated. So that’s one way of doing it…
That’s what I figured after a while. It works in Quick Edit mode just fine, huh!
Do you know if there’s any way of fixing it, or is it just a WP bug that hasn’t been resolved yet?
Thanks for your input!
– C.After opening the ‘Options…’ button, are you referring to the “Directory Filters: Separate by semicolon (/path1/dir1;/path2/dir2)” field? So if I enter paths here, it’ll exclude those folders?
I had the feeling it might already have the option, but I just couldn’t find it haha.
Thanks,
– C.Honestly, I don’t think there’s much you can improve! It’s so simple to begin with, which is definitely Duplicator’s strength; it definitely doesn’t need any more bells and whistles…
At this point I’m pretty satisfied with it. ?? It amazes me how I can launch a site in just 5 minutes. Awesome!
Hi Lifeinthegrid,
I finally got a chance to try out your advice, and it indeed did work after I completely uninstalled & installed the latest version, yay!
Also, I’d like to thank you for your work on this plugin. It’s made my life as a web developer so easy when launching websites, I can’t believe it half the time. I’m absolutely in love. Thank you so much!
Thanks,
– C.
