I also noticed this error today on my WordPress 4.1 website. Hopefully it’s resolved soon!

I’ve had some hit-and-miss luck with this. Some of my sites it works fine, others it has an issue, and I’m not sure why. Uninstalling iThemes Security completely (including the database rows) and reinstalling it might help.

Upgrading to the latest version fixed it for me. Thank you!

No solution here. My only idea was to disable the plugin until it’s fixed. ??

I finally got a chance to test this again and still am having difficulties. As I was setting up a new test site I tried this plugin again and always get the following code:

I made sure I was logged out in ALL of my browsers (Firefox, Chrome), and that error still appeared, so I’m not sure what the issue is. I’m running WP 4.0 and the latest version of Analytics Control Plus (1.9).

The issue was it wasn’t tracking any visitors to the site, not just me as the admin. I know because my sites went from hundreds of a hits a month in Google Analytics down to 0. That makes it pretty clear what the issue was.

It’s working now for me! I’m running WP 3.9 and iThemes Security 4.2.2.

For me I had to deactivate Redirection (a plugin that’s used for remembering 404s and such), clear the site’s cache, test the password-protected page, and re-enable Redirection. Without doing that it’d keep redirecting me to an error page when trying to access the password-protected page.

FYI to Plugin Author — I’d highly recommend adding that video URL to your plugin’s FAQ page! Without it, the plugin is rather difficult to understand.

Yeah I tried that and for some reason it didn’t work for my pages. Maybe I should have cleared my or my site’s cache or something. Oh well, it’s working now so I’m happy. ??

Yep, on the latest version. I didn’t realize there was settings on the Shareholic site itself I had to update to get those excluded! I figured you guys had a solution to something so simple. I was able to figure it out, thanks so much!

Yeah I ended up undoing my original comment. I think my cache was playing tricks on me, because adding the code directly to functions.php actually didn’t work after a while for some reason. Therefore I ended up simply using your plugin anyway! So double-thanks for that, haha. ??
