In reply to: [AGCA - Custom Dashboard & Login Page] 7.0 exhibits strange behaviourMarking resolved due to inactivity
Hi @antoanst,
Thanks for the update. We are enforcing security in later AGCA versions and such characters are encoded to HTML entities to prevent any potential malicious attacks. Unfortunately, this caused some problems like in your case, already encoded HTML characters will be encoded once again.
To prevent this problem, please use the original characters: “?” instead “& lsaquo ;”.
Sorry for the trouble, hope this will work for your case.
Hi,
We have tested this on fresh WP install Chrome, AGCA 7.0.2, WP 5.8.3 and unfortunately unable to reproduce it. Could you please provide some more information about it? What is the AGCA option name you’re trying to test?
We have tested these options in AGCA:
– Admin Bar > Page title template
– Admin Bar > Custom Blog heading
– Dashboard > Change dashboard and heading textwith this example:
Test ? title
What field do you use? Please provide any additional information, if possible.
On sites with previous AGCA versions installed, additional saving may be needed. Thanks

In reply to: [AGCA - Custom Dashboard & Login Page] 7.0 exhibits strange behaviourHi Olly,
Thanks for checking it out. Could you please let us know how to reproduce this issue? What is the field name, on which tab? Could you please paste here an example of the input so we can test it?
Thanks,
Cusmin supportHi Rodrigo,
There is a problem with jQuery on your site, it’s not loaded correctly. This might be caused by some plugin or even theme. You can open the browser’s console in order to see this JavaScript error. To debug if some plugin caused it, you can use the Health Check plugin to temporarily disable other plugins to see if some of them are causing this.
However, if you find this doesn’t affect you or your website in any way and everything still works as expected, you can disregard this notification.
Best,

In reply to: [AGCA - Custom Dashboard & Login Page] 7.0 exhibits strange behaviourBtw, Ninja Tables plugin is deactivating all scripts from other plugins on their pages, which is very odd. We have added a workaround for the AGCA plugin but if you have any other plugins that don’t work on their pages, that’s the reason and probably needs some more clarifications about this decision from their support.

In reply to: [AGCA - Custom Dashboard & Login Page] 7.0 exhibits strange behaviourHi @ollydowning,
Thanks so much for reporting these issues. AGCA v7 was a major security-related release with a lot of background changes so we apologize for the new bugs and inconvenience that it caused.
We have published some patches for these issues, please update to 7.0.1. They are hopefully now resolved.
Please let us know if you notice anything else, it’s very much appreciated.
Best,
Cusmin supportYou’re welcome.
UPDATE: We have test it against the PHP v8.1 and no outstanding issues were found. Thanks,
Cusmin supportPlease open the browser’s console and check if there are any JavaScript errors. That probably breaks the script for switching tabs. As an Editor, you can’t change the AGCA settings. If that happened for Editor after you have applied settings, it could be that was due to the issue of tabs switching. Please look for JavaScript errors that needs to be resolved first.
Hi Rodrigo,
It’s not fully tested with 8.0, we recommend 7.4. You can try it out if you want, probably there wouldn’t be any issues.
Thanks
Hi Rodrigo,
You can safely upgrade it to 7.4
Thanks
