Hello thank you for your reply! I am currently looking into how to create my own shortcodes which will most likely require the use of a child theme unless I decide to use a plugin. For now I am not using the visual editor at all so hopefully a shortcode with the background image included will solve this problem more in a more permanent way.

And thank you for the link!

Hello last post I promise! The image I was referring to is actually the background image of the tabs themselves. Turns out the visual editor places quotations inside the url brackets but the code works just fine if I remove them and only use the text editor tab. Not the most elegant solution but it will do for the time being. I want to thank you for your information on creating a child theme – I am actually considering the use of custom made shortcodes that contain all of the styling to minimize the amount of css that each page or post contains. Once I figure it out I believe that this will do exactly what I require. I am so happy with my new clickable ‘buttons’ – it makes a huge difference!

I tried out the coding which is nearly perfect! Background color for each tab displays everything properly but when I add an image url as the background the display breaks. I am confident though with some editing I will figure out how to fix this – you have already saved me hours of work on top of a dozen already.

I do know that I should be making these changes on a theme level however I haven’t the slightest clue where to begin. I am a self taught digital artist who is just now learning the basics of website design – which is proving to be a lot more difficult to pick up.

To be quite honest editing my stylesheet seems terrifying seeing as I know so little. Making the changes I require through the editor up until now seemed like the best option for my skill level. I am probably just creating a problem for myself later on. Page speed comes to mind. I will have to learn stylesheet editing someday.

Anyway thank you so very much for your help ??

Hello Bill thank you for your reply!

I can do the fine tuning as long as the basics are in place. Is there anything different you would include in the code now that I have linked a webpage?

If you scroll down visually this is what I want:

I could use some ideas on making the clickable ‘View Product’ and ‘View Collection’ areas larger and more user friendly and also how I can shorten the code with the same effect. I am asking this question here because I need this code to work inside the wordpress editor. Css sites where you can ask questions are geared more towards editing on a theme level.
