Awesome!!! I wonder if it was a caching issue. I had only updated Jetpack an hour before testing. Thank you so much!!! My client will be relieved!
Hi there! I’m having the same issue. Error messages will show but the success message will not. My client flagged the issue: https://foleylawpractice.com/foley-foley-pc-in-the-news/
I actually updated to 12.9 today when I first logged in – before I even checked the issue – and the success message is still not showing.
Thanks for looking into it!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Under Construction] Homepage Stuck on Unique situationI’ve had this problem as well. It seems to be new, since I’ve used this plugin for years with no issues. I realize it’s cache, but it’s a huge problem. I made my client’s site live 12 hours ago and it’s still stuck and they’re not amused. I have cleared cache several times, and even called GoDaddy to clear cache on their end and it’s still stuck.
I’m wondering if you’re on GoDaddy. I think it may be related to the Object-Cache plugin that GoDaddy adds to their WordPress sites (a plugin which has caused me problems before). I used to go in and delete that plugin (it’s a drop in so you have to FTP in to delete it) but now it’s locked down so you can’t delete it… Anyway I would love for someone to have a solution for this issue, because I can’t afford to make a site live and have it fail like this!

In reply to: [Under Construction] UnderConstruction STUCK only on home page?I’ve had this issue too! If you have CDN enabled, it’s even worse. I disabled CDN in GoDaddy (our hosting company) and it was immediately fixed.
I got it! I did a third round of searches and located this post about duplicating products:
https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/duplicate-woocommerce-products/
Created a new capability duplicate_posts and once I attributed all past posts to my client (making her the owner), she was able to duplicate them as needed.

In reply to: [Accessibility by UserWay] Excellent service – definitely recommendOf course! Sorry about that! ??
Has this been solved yet? I’m really on the fence about using this plugin/service.
Is there anything I can read, anywhere, that might convince me this will work? There are so few installs and the reviews are questionable. It’s just a really big ask to make a HIPAA compliant plugin on an insecure platform like WordPress!
The plugin’s screenshots also worry me – from what I see, it looks like you can pull up the form information (with PHI) right on the WP CMS interface. That can’t be possible. Even as the admin of the website, I should have absolutely no access to the content in the forms…
Am I missing something?

In reply to: [APCu Object Cache Backend] Plugin no longer supported – Breaks CachingI FTP’d in and found it sitting right in the main directory. Not even in a plugin folder. “object-cache.php”
I deleted it and it fixed my site. I am relieved, but also so furious. We’ve been fighting with GoDaddy for days on this. We’ve been getting nonstop 503 and 502 errors and we knew it wasn’t our site. I can’t believe it was this bulls**t plugin.

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Multi day events are not showing on calendarForget it – I see that the plugin requires that I make it recurring… The client is going to hate it, but I get it…

In reply to: [Event Organiser] customizing calendar1. In you custom CSS you can add this:
#eo_shortcode_calendar_0_content caption {
font-weight: 600 !important;
color: #639138 !important;
}Customize and add attributes as you like!

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Disable map function entirely?(or maybe my answer is too simple… if you need real security this isn’t it, if anyone inspects the code and brings the map back…)

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Competing with Wix… What???Well said. WordPress was not taken seriously for a LONG time. It has been the concerted efforts of developers like us (and all of the amazing people who develop the platform, themes, and plugins) who have finally made it a legitimate option – for legitimate use! Not just blogs, we even have a University website on WordPress!
They can say soapbox, but we can insist forum. This is a FORUM.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Competing with Wix… What???Agree. I actually installed the Disable Gutenberg plugin by Jeff Starr for this reason. I feel like he will be more inclined to keep up with updates if he has the installs, reviews, and support to do so.
ps I understand that the WordFence developers say WF is just the straw that breaks the camel’s back… I get that it may be the one thing that tips the scales, but I have a feeling it’s because this is one HEAVY straw….
