Yes we backed it up before the issue with the menu came up. We restored it by deleting the files using FileZilla and uploading the backed up files. Again, I am not familiar with WordPress. Can you tell me what the proper way to do it is?
I really am not sure if it is backing up the database. I was told the only thing I needed to do was backup using the duplicator plug-in in wordpress. Is there a certain file I should look for in the Zip file containing the back up?
