  • I am using hello elementor as well. It seems to be related to the custom breakpoint setting. If you leave it on default, it breaks things. I don’t even have any custom break points yet the setting is causing issues if it’s set to default or enabled.

I had to disable it entirely to fix the issue. I noticed when it was on, it was also breaking font sizes that weren’t updating based on responsive design. I think these are all bugs in elementor’s software.

One other thing that may be influencing this is that I am using a page template that applies to all pages. This template just sets padding on the left and right side in the page template properties. If I use elementor canvas instead, breaking bad works fine even if the custom breakpoints are on default/enabled. I still had font size issues though which is unrelated to the plug-in.

Out of curiosity – are you using the elementor canvas? I was using a page template that’s applied to all pages, and I just noticed that when I instead use elementor canvas I don’t have this issue.

Edit: I actually got it to work with the page template. I think the root cause of everything is the stupid experimental breakpoint feature they have in Elementor.

Try going to elementor’s settings in the admin dashboard, experiments tab and disable the custom breakpoint feature. Once saved, try it out again and hopefully it’ll work!

I’m also having this issue and was banging my head on the wall trying to figure out what’s up. It seems to be intermittent like you said, but it will not consistently keep columns at 100% when changing the device type.

Have you found a solution for this?

Ah sorry – found one more related to the smooth scrolling feature. It appears that it breaks sticky heads with it on.

I also noticed an additional bug. When using the Smooth Scrolling feature, it appears to put a gap at the top of the page above the header with Elementor Pro and the Hello Theme.
