Could you please provide us with some more information to aid with debugging please?
Does this happen only when Elementor Pro is active or can this issue be replicated using only the free version of Elementor?
Additionally could you please let us know if for the issue to appear some Elements Plus! provided widgets need to be inserted to the preview, or does the issue appear even if no elements are inserted to the page (i.e. creating a fresh new page).

The fastest way to get your site back as it was is to restore it to a recent backup. I see that you are using SiteGround’s optimizer and would guess that you are hosted with SiteGround. As far as I know they keep regular backups on their hosting plans. Try contacting them and ask them to help your restore your site. Unfortunately the changes caused by the plugin’s update can’t be reverted automatically, so restoring a back up is the suggested course of action for a speedy recovery.

We have updated the plugin to version 2.14.2 which removes the problematic code, you should be able to update and continue working with the plugin without further issues.

However, we would appreciate any feedback you might have, especially information like the one requested in our previous post so we can check if we can help fixing any problems persisting even after the 2.14.2 update.

Hello everyone.

Could you please provide us with more info on the issue and perhaps an example URL so we can better troubleshoot this? Information that might be helpful would be WordPress version, PHP version and Elementor version running on the affected site, also did the pages contain Chinese or other similar characters?

We have reverted the plugin’s stable tag to 2.14.0 so anyone that needs to download it won’t have any issues.

Well, you can’t search/select posts from other sub-sites, if that’s what you’re asking.

It does work individually in each sub-site though.

yes, you are free to disable the footer text, even for a commercial project.
In fact, you can do the same for any theme in the WordPress theme directory (even if they don’t give you the option), as they all are licensed under the GPL.

The GPL grants you the right to do it, as long as you adhere to the license: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html

Having said that, all theme authors would like credit for their work, and while we’d love if you kept the credits, we can’t really force you to keep them ??

You might also want to consider the theme’s Pro version that allows you to easily set any footer text (through a customizer option), without having to edit any files.
