In reply to: [Atahualpa] Upgrade debacle: 3.7.12 > 3.7.24@juggledad thanks for the info. Yes, that is the the theme help says, but it doesn’t work for me.

In reply to: [Atahualpa] Updates cause lots of problems@greenreflection I experienced a similar situation to what you describe, except I have no header images except a logo. Luckily, my hosting provider saved my bacon and restored the entire domain! I’ve also used altahualpa for years and this was a horrid “upgrade”! Won’t trust them again.

In reply to: [Watu Quiz] Open End (Essay)I just discovered that javascript is incompatible with watu questions, and they work beautifully without it. Specifically, I use a js snippet to display my email address without displaying its text, which thwarts email-scraper bots. However, this js prevented Watu from
-Displaying exam open-ended question answer text
-Capturing the open-ended question dataSo I’m deciding to go naked with the email and have Watu work ;^)
I share this in case it’s useful to @presunsen or it is puzzling other users of Watu/free/wp
If anyone is interested in the code, I’ll be glad to share, but here’s where I got it:

In reply to: [Watu Quiz] Malware/spam prevention?Thank you @prasunsen. As you have certainly guessed, I’m not a programmer, but I have survived an injection attack by hunting down malware that penetrated my blog surreptitiously. My exams are all essay questions, so, as bots create (blog) comment spam and insert malware in comments, I think it would be easy for them to deliver “quiz and test and survey spam” by inserting hidden malware in “answers.” So they “take” quizzes and tests, and that’s how they get the code on my database. I think you are right, though; as long as I use wordpress’s recommended settings (I do), they could not execute the malware unless my permissions would allow that (i.e. 777). BTW, before finding Watu, I tried a lot of other plugins for quizzes and surveys and forms, and many of them had captcha antibot functions; this also led me to believe that my concern is not an unusual one. Does my question make more sense now?
Thanks again for an awesome plugin and for responding.
