So that works just fine and I can now add color to each of those two elements, but that still leaves white space outside of those two sections. What would the name be for that section?

Also by “chrome browser inspector” do you mean the “View page source” function if you right click on a webpage or is this a chrome plugin???

Worked like a charm. I was omitting the “!important” element in my code which is where I was having trouble.
