Becuase I’d love to have something I can throw on a cd and still navigate around (if possible). I don’t necessarily want it to start up in the root of my local machine’s web server.

You need to remove the line breaks. Put all of your hidden form inputs on one line. That will get rid of the gaps. Less readable, but better than the big blanks spaces.

In your CSS you have a form input defintion that’s setting your width @200px. Delete it and your problems will go away too.

While I am adding a few plugins, I’m trying to run as lean as possible…

Stupid question: Do you have any comment-spam blocking turned on, a plugin maybe?

In the “Write Page” page of the wordpress admin area, there is a also a bookmarklet that will let you link to and then comment on the info you want to blog about.

Well, you should be able to untick the box labeled “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail”

That won’t make the boxes on the form disappear, though.

Or edit the form so there no fields for them to fill in except the comment. Just make the name/email inputs hidden.

You can always delete and re-install if you haven’t already filled up your database. Which, I guess you wouldn’t have, if you were just installing it for the first time.

Looks good. Your “impeach” banner travels all over the page if the browser window isn’t sized to the width of the content area.
