In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Mistakes character code for hashtagAt the moment it simply just looks for the ‘#’ and converts it to a hash tag. I will fix this asap, I’ve got a couple of other fixes in the queue but it’s slow going at the moment (home renovations taking up most of my time these days).

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Frequently doesn't work.I haven’t experience similar issues, but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe you! Can you give me more info about your implementation?
- Your version of wordpress
- The version of the plugin you’re using
- The settings you have set for the widget
Also, if you know it, what version of PHP are you running? And on what kind of server / host?

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Sensible cache timeGlad I could help!

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Sensible cache timeHey ben! 1800 would refresh every half hour. This works for most people but some people need to refresh much more often than that and set their cache time to 60 so that it’s updated every minute. This would still keep you unter the rate limit for twitter’s API since you’re allowed 150 requests per hour.
As for your feature request, this is realdy possible! Simply put the Twitter accounts handle in the title with the “@” symbol before it, like so: @crowdersoup. This would automatically make “CrowderSoup” a link to the twitter accounts home page.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Features request: timestamp at end of entriesThats a great idea! I’ll see if I can fit that into my dev schedule this week.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Handle refreshCool, I’ll add some code to refresh the cache if the handle has changed. I’ll mark this thread as resolved once I’ve done that.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Handle refreshAwesome, thank you for your help!

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] Handle refreshHmmm, I think that’s probably due to caching. I will look into it as soon as I can. Right now it caches tweets for an hour and then refreshes them, does it still display tweets from the old user after an hour?

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Feed] can't running on the browserThis looks like an error with how it works under a windows deployment. I will spool up a Windows VM this weekend and look into it for you. Until then, hang tight!

In reply to: Committed / Added a new tagThanks for the heads up. I think I may have figured it out, but I’ll make sure to email them if the problem continues!
WordPress is EXTREMELY slow with this plugin activated. It’s not just the WP-Stats Dashboard that slow…it’s all of it.
I’m not sure why this is. But I assure you that it isn’t my server. My server isn’t even breaking a sweat trying to handle the load (as my logs will show).
Please check into this.
