It may be as simple as clearing your browser cache. Give that a shot and see if it solves your issue.

I was trying to use the Genesis Connect for WooCommerce plugin on a multisite and was getting the same error.
I got it to work by not network activating it but by activating it on the individual sites within the multisite.
