Anyone? Can anyone answer what happens when I uncheck ‘organize my uploads into month and year based folders’?

I was thinking about going that route but would like to know exactly what happens when I uncheck the box.

Any help is appreciated. ??

Does anyone know what happens when you uncheck the “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” option? Does it just throw all the pictures into one image folder?
