In reply to: [Download Monitor] Gutenberg EditorGutenberg for CPTs isn’t supported by default. That’s just how things are right now in WordPress.

In reply to: [Download Monitor] wp_download_log@zee-que – thanks for leaving a comment here. I really appreciate it! It’s been educational for me.
Most support happens in the first 30 days of plugin acquisition so that means we’d just have users overload our support systems in the first 30 days …
I was not aware you were a paying customer, so we might be able to work something out in your favour, as long as you can contact us through our (private) support channels and mention my name.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Modula Image Gallery] 3 column gallery re-orders some thumbnails@apbliv – your images don’t have the same size. I’ve talked to one of our developers, and he recommends you choose an image size and set crop to “on” to make all of your images the same size.
Here’s how:

I hope this helps!

In reply to: [Download Monitor] wp_download_logThat makes sense, as long as you don’t have to pay salaries, income taxes, or payment gateway fees. In theory, you’re right – and we could probably sell each extension at $39/year, without any support though. That would have to be a separate cost.
Here’s a breakdown of our costs:
- Starting with a $39/year sale:
- Stripe fees: 2.5% – $0.975 + $0.25 = $37.75
- Income tax: 16% = $6.044 = $31.076
- Support ticket: $8.21 per conversation, on average = $23.5
- Development costs at $25/hour = -$1.5
On that -$1.5, we’d also have to pay a dividend tax (as I, the owner of the business, need to be able to take home a profit – it’s a business, after all) of 10%.
The above calculations assume that a developer has to work for just 1 hour on the product – fixing bugs, adding features, and making sure it works fine with the latest WordPress version, all the time.
This does not account for the initial development costs, my time, designer, tester, business development, or any acquisition costs (for what it’s worth – Download Monitor was a six-figure acquisition two years ago).
As long as we’d deliver each plugin “as-is”, then yes, the proposed pricing could work. Otherwise, unfortunately (and you can see this throughout the entire WP industry with many companies 2X-ing their prices) it’s not sustainable.
I hope this message will find you well!Much love,

In reply to: [Download Monitor] wp_download_log@zee-que – at that price point it would be impossible to provide good service to our clients – including support and future development.

In reply to: [Modula Image Gallery] Modula doesn’t index gallery images in GoogleI think the nest solution here would be for us to “attach” ourselves onto an existing SEO plugin and make sure we create an “images” sitemap that Google can easily find.
We’ll most likely start with Yoast for this integration and then move to other plugins as well.

In reply to: [Modula Image Gallery] background lighboxHey,
I’m sorry but we don’t provide custom code samples in the free w[dot]org forums.
For the second issue – make sure the image you are using is inserted as FULL.
@kritzingerconsulting – sorry for the delayed reply here. Yes, that’s the correct email address to use.
Can you please send another email now? I’m personally monitoring the inbox for your email!/Cristian.
@kritzingerconsulting – we’ve acquired this product a few months back from the previous owners. Here’s a public link: https://x.com/CristianRaiber/status/1716364356974215367
Maybe during the transition some things got lost? I have not seen and refund requests as I would happily honour them.
If you can send another email with your issue, I’ll address it ASAP.
Thanks,
/Cristian.@parogdev – if you look here: https://imgur.com/a/rrotf4c you will notice that everything that is being loaded from our CDN is blazing fast, while everything that is loaded from your local url is very, very slow (see image 1 above).
