Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure whether it’s because I have too many countries in C11 or what. Anyway, I have created a new thread on this issue and will be awaiting some feedback. Cheers
That’s great. Glad it’s working out well for you so far.
An issue I encountered lately though is that everytime I type in countries that I specifically sell to under Sell to Specific Countries only in General Settings of Woocommerce, I lose them by the time I go back to complete and type in countries under my country groups in the APG settings. For the life of me, I have been typing and re-typing the countries and saving the changes in both General Settings and APG settings country groups. Is it just me having this issue? I am yet to send a note to the developers to see if this has anything to do with the plug-in or if it has to do with Woocommerce.
Yep, it works pretty much like AWD since that plug-in is its precursor anyways. I didn’t make use of the postcodes and states, instead I had:
500|659|C1
1000|792|C1
1500|891|C1 and so on.I had 11 country groups and set the max weights there. Just make sure you untick Return the maximum price so it doesn’t calculate the shipping price on your maximum limit as the rate even for overweight. Customers then get the error message and cannot proceed to payment at check out.
@damiaan van Vliet, I also did ask whether there’s a way to change the generated message so I can say to the effect that orders above my maximum limit cannot be processed and that customers should contact me for alternative shipping arrangements or ask for a quote. Developer had said that that message was Woocommerce generated so I would have to make the changes in my child theme.
Making a child theme and doing the changes from there seems rather complicated for a newby like me, so I guess I’ll take what’s there for now. ?? You might want to have a crack at it though. Best of luck to us!

In reply to: [WC - APG Weight Shipping] Setting max weight allowed per shippingGreat! Thanks for your prompt support. I did just that and it did show a message that purchase cannot be completed. Is there a way that I could customise the message to say shipping above maximum need to be organised with seller and for them to contact at an email or phone number?
Appreciate your help. Thanks
Thanks for the reminder @esmi and @damiaan. Anyway, again not sure if this is appropriate here (kindly delete please if unsuitable) but while I was trying to figure out a solution to this, I had a look at another plugin called APG Weight and Postcode/State/Country Shipping and tried on another site I am working on. I was trying to do the exact same thing and the closest I could get was getting a notification once the order was above my set max weight limit saying:
“There doesn‘t seem to be any available shipping methods. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.”
Addendum: This notification is what customers see on checkout.
I think this will do for now, and the closest I could get anyway rather than having to have the same shipping rate charged to customers for the maximum weight and the overlimit.
Hope this is of any help.
Sorry, I do apologise. I am quite new here and have missed that. Thanks anyway.
