I WOULD HAVE IF THERE WAS ANY WAY TO DO SO ON THE VENDORS WEBSITE THAT HAD BEEN EVEN REASONABLY ACCESSIBLE TO ME AS A PAYING CUSTOMER.

Same thing here, broken image source. The image I am using is currently in my wordpress library. All I tried to do was send it to the widget. Using latest wordpress and a fresh download of your plugin….

Seems to be going – here is what my host said …. We’ve changed the ownership of the wp-content/updraft directory to www-data

Thanks! Hope this helps someone else.

Understood. I did a manual directory change via FTP & it took the plugin may have the error recorded somewhere though. I will let you know what the scoop is. Thanks.

OK. I have ensured all directory permissions wp-content & updraft are both set to the domain that is working. Still no luck.

If it helps the backup button is ‘greyed’ out and not selectable.

Hi – sorry for the delay.

WordPress 3.8.1 . Waiting to update until I do a backup.

This is the debug error I am receiving.

Down at the bottom had the following:
Backup directory specified does not exist. Click here to attempt to create the directory and set the permissions, or, to reset this option click here. If that is unsuccessful check the permissions on your server or change it to another directory that is writable by your web server process. This is where UpdraftPlus will write the zip files it creates initially. This directory must be writable by your web server. It is relative to your content directory (which by default is called wp-content). Do not place it inside your uploads or plugins directory, as that will cause recursion (backups of backups of backups of…).

Tried to create it with the link and got:
Backup directory could not be created…

The folder exists, but your webserver does not have permission to write to it. You will need to consult with your web hosting provider to find out to set permissions for a WordPress plugin to write to the directory.

What should that permission be? I will try to manually set it. As I said before, it installed successfully on another domain on the same server – not sure why the glitch. Hey – I will check the permissions on the working directory. Back in a bit.
