My host is bluehost via www.remarpro.com, I can ask them but the customer service has really failed as of lately and I doubt they will be any help unfortunately.

I have deleted and reinstalled this plugin twice now and it still keeps happening. It says that the beta version is unknown to be compatible with the latest version of wordpress

It says the new version of Mailchimp Lite available. View version 2.3.3 beta detail or update now.

The version I have installed is 2.3.2 but I have updated to the version noted on top several times now. Should I delete it and reinstall?

I’m using the short links provided by WordPress. I figured that was the best way to go. I posted on the other forum, I will try to deactivate all my plugins but how will I know which one is the bad one? Do I need to put my site in maintenance mode to achieve this?

Did you get that off of one of my social media sites, like Facebook or Twitter?

I ended up just putting it in the prefooter, not exactly where I wanted it, though and it’s not centered. I was trying to add everything where it says powered by WordPress.

Thank you both I went through and excluded the site on my google analytics. When I was researching referrer spam that was the easiest solution I found. Hopefully this cleans up the mess for now.

Well just in case I scanned it and there is no malware detected. How do you protect your site from referrer spam? The coding I found was a little over my head. Does anyone know of a good plugin?

It goes to my site with and a page says “oops! That page can’t be found. So I think that’s my 404 page?

Okay wow that video was super fast! I got as far as downloading wordpress on my computer …. I just don’t understand. I’m sorry to have wasted your time, but I think its going to take me a while to figure this out. It seems like common sense, which I think is what’s frustrating me the most. Thank you for your time though. I will revisit this thread once I figure the child theme out.

Wait I’m confused I have to create a theme, just so I can add my copyright and creative commons in the footer? Oh and sorry for posting the code, I was hoping someone would be able to just highlight where I needed to stick the code.
