Thank you kindly for your reply Jan. I can see that from the forums perspective, constantly resurrecting old threads would cause a real mess. I also agree that encouraging new posts from those who believe they have the same issue is important as they usually, unintentionally, end up hijacking or confusing the thread.

PS. I have already noticed that I can no longer edit my page’s status via the quick editor (but posts are fine).

If you re-enable it again are the settings restored? Would really like to use this but I find myself turning plugins on and off all the time for testing purposes. Would hate to have to keep redoing all the settings.

I’m guessing that you mean that it needs to stay active to work but just want to make sure that’s the case?

Installation instructions are one click away from the page you wrote this review…

1. Download and extract the zip archive
2. Upload ultimate-posts-widget folder to /wp-content/plugins/
3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
4. Add the widget to a sidebar and configure the options as desired

All the settings are in the UPW Widget.

I have even tried on a test server with no plugins and basic wordpress theme. I have also tested this with/without hosting the files on my own server. No game appears and when editing the post I don’t see any code that would even attempt to display a game.

I have the same issue. Descriptions and images are combined into a published post but there is no actual game.

No problem as I haven’t installed it yet. I just wanted to know if non-www sites were okay to use with the plugin first as you said “a small fix is required”.

So just to clarify as I also use a non-www site, was this an issue and if so is it fix yet. Would like to install asap ??

I kind of figured that the space was empty due to the content area width being constrained but I was under the impression that it would be many little bits that needed moving. Honestly didn’t consider it would be as simple as editing the width on the CSS.

Oh and don’t worry, I was smart enough to back everything up before slashing through the core files. I find that trial and error is the best way I learn and so long as I have regular backups in place there is a lot of fun things to experiment with.

Also thanks for mentioning child sites as I’ve never really understood what they were until now. I just assumed it was something to do with multisites.
