In reply to: Role group attribute for figure tagHi,
The W3C’s example is also for images with a legend (figcaption). If you look at the code, you have a “figure” tag around some others “figure” tags. And those others “figure” tags also have the “role” and “aria-labelledby” attributes.
So, one image with a legend should also have these attributes. In WordPress, we already have the right tags “figure” and “figcaption”. It just lacks a little piece of code ??
Edit:
If we see here : https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/images/complex/, “aria-labelledby” is not necessary. So, we need only the “role” attribute (easier!).- This reply was modified 7 years, 6 months ago by crakotte.
Shame on me! Thankyou for your reply!

In reply to: [WPSOLR - Elasticsearch and Solr search] HTML code invalideYou’re right! Actually, the problem for W3C is only whitespace in IDs. Sorry, I get confused!

In reply to: [WPSOLR - Elasticsearch and Solr search] HTML code invalideThankyou for the fix. That’s a bit better now ! ??
I’d add for the problem of IDs that, in French, for example, we can also have accented letters so that’s a problem of special characters…

In reply to: [WPSOLR - Elasticsearch and Solr search] HTML code invalideWhat’s the definition of broken for you?
The plugin is not compatible with W3C rules and is not compatible with keyboard navigation (because of the use of “div” instead of “button”). People with disabilities can’t use this plugin (blind persons, persons with a motor disability, etc.).
That’s a big problem of compatibility…

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Problem of semi blank title with WordPress SEO & BuddyPressNo news… Hope that Yoast cares about that problem…?
I made some tests this morning and finally, it appears that if, in the EM permalinks, you choose the same structure for events and for places, it displays 404 errors on single event page and not on single place page.
This should be told in the plugin…
Thank you for your help.
Sorry but I can’t do that and show you… You’ll have to trust me.
I turned the website on maintenance mode and put all my files of my child theme into a new folder except functions.php. In functions.php there was nothing but the maintenance mode.
This was the default theme that was running and I still had a 404 error page on single event page even with future events. My events page is working correctly : I have events (private because fakes), hours, dates and the links I defined. No error.
That problem is not new as we can see in Google. https://www.google.fr/search?q=events+manager+404+error
My permalink structure is just website.com/%postname%/ and for EM it’s website.com/evenements/
This doesn’t change anything… I’m despairing…
(Fieseline, your link is not a WordPress website…)
I still have a 404 error page by deactivating all other plugins and re-saving permalinks.
I can’t switch the theme : my website is online. It is the default WordPress theme : just a child.Yes, I tried many times and it doesn’t change anything.
And no, none of the events works even with a date in the future…
