now i can’t log into my other site dottietrixx.com

i get a 404 message saying to edit my .htaccess file.

when i go to login to my site i get this message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_password_reset_key() (previously declared in /home2/dottie/public_html/wp-login.php:281) in /home2/dottie/public_html/wp-includes/user.php on line 1637

and i keep getting emails saying files have been changed when i haven’t even been online. and other emails to say that my sites are under a brute force attack.

i can’t see my site at the moment cos i get a 403 message.

i just wanted to know if anyone has used one that is good and would recommend it. geez.

is there a plugin that offers a two-step login verification?

i think my hacker is using the same IP address as I am.

maybe download another .htaccess file while you’re at it and replace your old .htaccess file with the new one too.

you’ll have to enter the data for your site into your new wp-config file of course.

yeah, i had to try everything. i did a search for this problem and in one of the other threads that’s what it tells you to do, to delete those lines from your wp-config file. that was the last step i took and i managed to get into my dashboard again after that.

what about you downloading a fresh copy of the wp-config file and replace the old file via FTP?

it should be there, it’s near the top of the file. it’s either in your wp-config file or in your .htaccess file.

do everything i did and you’ll get back in.

i managed to fix something so it doesn’t say “code corrupted. insert fresh copy” at the bottom anymore, but my side bar is still missing.

just noticed at the bottom of my page it says “code corrupted. insert fresh copy.” but the theme has only been downloaded so i don’t know how it could be corrupted.

I tried activating another theme and it says the same “code corrupted. insert fresh copy.” so i tried to reinstall the wordpress update and it still says the same at the bottom of my home page “code corrupted. insert fresh copy.” even with different themes the side bar is still missing.
