    Hi @tierra,

Don’t worry – your API key is public, and it’s ok to share it publicly. On the other hand, your API Secret is, well, the secret one ??

Let me know if there’s anything else we can do for you!

    Best,

Hi @raradra and @tierra, thanks for reaching out to us with this issue!

@raradra – Could you please share a link to your website with us so we can investigate this further? You can also send us an email to [email protected] if you prefer.

@tierra – It seems you accidentally copied over some white space along with the Captain Up API key. Instead of ” 52e6f0fdd06c264163000002″ it should be just ” 52e6f0fdd06c264163000002″. Sorry about that! We’ve already fixed this for the next release of Captain Up, so copying over some white space won’t make a difference. If you have any more issues or any feedback do let us know!

    Thanks for the feedback,
    Almog

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out and for all the feedback!

We currently only support login through Facebook or Twitter Connect. However, we do plan on adding several more authentication methods in the near future, including integration with the WordPress user system and with Google sign in.

You should follow us on Twitter for more updates on this and other new features. And make sure to email us at [email protected] if you have any more questions or feedback!

    Best,

Hello! Captain Up for WordPress, as of today, was designed toward the blog’s audience rather than an incentive for the blog’s writers. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard such a cool request! We’re considering this option carefully and it might make it into our 2014 roadmap.

In the meantime: It is possible to manually do this, if you or you colleagues have worked with WordPress and PHP in the past. Simply include the Captain Up code only in the WordPress admin section (rather than the opposite which is how our plugin currently functions), and then configure it at will!

    Hi @jbelland,

Can you send us a link to your site so we can investigate this further? If you uninstalled the Captain Up plugin the widget should not appear anymore. Do you have any cache layers that might still return outdated pages of your site? Shoot us an email – [email protected] – so we can see how to make Captain Up work out for you.

    Thanks,
    Almog

    Hi Seastnan,

The verification process only checks that someone visited your site after Captain Up was installed. You only need to copy and paste your API Key from the Captain Up admin panel to your WordPress plugin settings, save and then visit your site to verify the install.

If this doesn’t work, or you have any more questions please send us an email over at [email protected]

    Thanks!

P.S. Sorry for the long delay in response, we did not receive any notifications on new topics in the WordPress support forum.
