In reply to: [Captain Up] RewardsTallis1970,
Thanks for using Captain Up! In the admin panel, go to the “Users” tab. You will find a list of all your users, points they have, badges they earned, etc. From there it is easy to select a user and send them a direct inbox message, including details for prizes you’d like you promote.
Additionally, I’m glad to let you know we’re also working on a more conditional and automated way to give out “rewards” to users. This feature hasn’t launched yet and we’re working hard on getting it out there as soon as we can.
Feel free to contact [email protected] for more details

In reply to: [Captain Up] Tweets and Likes not showing on user's boardIt’s possible the tweet plugin you’re using isn’t detected by Captain Up properly. We suggest using the native plugins (from Twitter or Facebook) for best support. If you are using an all-in-one plugin like Add This, it’s best to pick the native design.
If you are still having issues feel free to contact our support – [email protected]

In reply to: [Captain Up] why no mobile browser support?Hi 471405,
We’re happy to say the mobile-web version of Captain Up is coming in the next few weeks. We are working days and nights in order to release mobile browser support. Please stay tuned.
Thanks
Amanda,
Are these registered users? If so, can you please confirm that the Likes and Tweets were recognized by Captain Up? A good sign is seeing points being added once Liking or Tweeting content.
It’s important to note that Captain Up recognizes these actions best when such social buttons are native, e.g. in their original format, exported from Facebook Developers or Twitter Developers sites.

In reply to: [Captain Up] Can existing WordPress users sign up?Hi @pwizard,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the very late reply!
Captain Up currently only supports signing up through either Facebook or Twitter accounts. However, we’re hard at work on adding new ways to sign in, including a way to seamlessly the WordPress and Captain Up user systems. Expect an update to the WordPress plugin with this in the next couple of months.
Hope this helps. Sorry again for the late reply, and let me know if you have any more questions or feedback ??
Best,

In reply to: [Captain Up] Plugin crippling my websiteHi @raradra,
Thanks for reaching out and for all the feedback.
With the new addition of Custom Actions to Captain Up, you can now easily set up incentives for your users to post on your site, though some coding is required. Please see our API docs for more info on this. Adding built-in support for user-generated content on WordPress and BuddyPress websites is on our immediate roadmap, and should be available in our next plugin versions.
We have some basic anti-cheating algorithms in place to detect and handle suspicious user behavior, but if you are not content with some of the users behaviours you can always block them in your Captain Up admin panel (under the Players tab). Could you please share with us a link to your site and point us to any ill weird activities so we can investigate this further?
Finally, the Captain Up script is loaded asynchronously. This means it does not negatively affects your site performance in any way. In fact, Captain Up will load only after everything else has loaded on your site. Moreover, modern web browsers load several resources simultaneously, so even if one resource hangs the loading will not stop. You can check our status page or follow us on Twitter for service issues. While our service availability isn’t perfect, we’re hard at work on it, and had a 99.98% uptime this month.
Hope this helps and clarifies things a bit
If you are still having problems, please share a link to your site with us so we can further help out.
Best,

In reply to: [Captain Up] Custom Actions HelpHi @dirk93,
Thanks for all your feedback!
Custom Actions are a new feature of Captain Up, and the documentation, tutorials and help pages for it are still a work in progress. Check out the API Reference and our Help and Docs center for more information on how to setup Captain Up.
Until we’ll have all the documentation up and available at our help center, feel free to email us at [email protected] with some information on the actions you’re trying to set up, and we’ll help as much as we can. Here’s a quick code example of how you might approach setting up sending quiz answers to Captain Up.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Captain Up] A Good Plugin, but Needs to be Polished UpHi @aemihelcich,
Thanks for writing a review for our plugin. I’m sorry to hear you were having trouble with Captain Up and would like to suggest a few points where we can help:
1. Rendering Issues – Captain Up sits right on top of your site. That means that some CSS Specificity issues can occur. We try our best to prevent this, and we succeed in most cases, but there is no silver bullet. If you send us a link to your site we’ll be able to run it with our tech team and fix any issues found.
2. Color Customizations – The Themes tab in your admin panel has a lot of options for customizing the color palette to suit your website’s design. Other than the 3 default themes, you can pick and combine 5 colors to create your own Captain Up theme. If that’s not enough, we do offer custom CSS code to be added.
We would love to hear more feedback from you, and it will help us improve and shape our product over time. Please email us at [email protected] and I’ll personally make sure we’re doing everything we can to help out.
Best,
Ido
