I’d love to help. I haven’t seen the issue with any of the sites I run the slideshow on though, can you tell me a site that things are broken on so I can check it out?

In reply to: [Slideshow Gallery Pro] Hardcoding Slideshow Gallery ProHmm…there’s no reason why the code shouldn’t work in the sidebar.php. Is it displaying anything at all like the slideshow wrapper div? If you do the hardcode in the different page does it work?
As far as images with a link being clickable that is currently the case if you choose “No Link” from the configuration page, use custom images, and have a link to a page turned on. You’re good to go! (works in 1.3.3+)
The slideshow will stay whatever size you set it and will not resize itself. Quite frankly I find it annoying when a javascript app resizes the page and makes all the text under it jump up and down. If you have the pro edition all the images fit really well within that size constraint you give it and you can change the sizing per instance of the slideshow.

In reply to: [Slideshow Gallery Pro] [Plugin: Slideshow Gallery Pro] Transition Options? That’s currently not a transition that’s available. Although I’m hoping to have it as an option in about a month from now
Thanks Joe, version 1.3.3 will be released tomorrow and there will be an option to minimize the information bar. I’ve also added an option to only show the information bar on mouse hover ??
Cheers!

In reply to: Slideshow Gallery Pro not working with IE8Thanks hardwoodterrace!
If you think there may be a bad line of code in the plugin though let me know and I’ll see if it’s something that I can fix up for the next version
Yeah, there are a lot of weird forward slash back slash things happening, could WinXP not be smart enough to figure that out? Hmmm… I’ll look into this. I might be hardcoding the / where there might be some more variable work around…
Hmmm… Strange, maybe shadowbox doesn’t support image resizing then. Perhaps try pretty photo?
I believe this is the reason people use the “Manage Slides” tab. It allows you to easily upload photos, and link them to open up images or open up pages. The full edition allows you to use multiple custom slideshows.

In reply to: [Plugin: Slideshow Gallery Pro] displays description instead of captionThe caption field in the paid version is set to be used as a https:// address. Is it possible to clear those fields if you don’t want the image to open up in a new page?
And yes, the caption/information bar is supposed to pull the title and description.
Yeah there is a -6 in the gallery-css you will probably want to take out. For many this fixes issues but it sounds like for you it creates them.

In reply to: [Slideshow Gallery Pro] [Plugin: Slideshow Gallery Pro] Fatal ErrorMake sure to upload the plugin using the proper method of going through the WordPress Plugin Upload tool. It may have run into an issue with bad data in FTP.
Also, the later version on the Member page will most likely fix that issue.

In reply to: [Slideshow Gallery Pro] [Plugin: Slideshow Gallery Pro] Can't Install pluginLooks like you’re dealing with an older version of the plugin. Definitely try the latest one.
Is your slider even sliding left to right when they span outside of your width of your slideshow? You should be able to scroll from left to right and see them all.
And Jamncream, I’m still looking into your issue, what a strange one! Not showing the right arrow in IE8…hmm…
Sounds like a permission issue with your server. Is the a /slideshow-gallery-pro/ directory in your /uploads/ folder?
