Sorry, you grabbed an early dev version of the plugin that wasn’t ready yet. Thats why there was no stable tag release yet.

also, any time I try to save the file via the WP plugin editor interface I get this error

Along the same lines, I have all my users set to “subscriber” role by default so that is not a problem. My question is can I customize what the subscriber role can actually see on the Dashboard view. Of course all they get is the Dashboard and Profile tabs, but I really dont want them to see all the latest activity stuff on the dashboard.

It lists posts that I have in the “queue” that haven’t been published yet, and I’d rather not allow any user of my site to be able to see what new articles are upcoming ahead of time.

Yeah, I looked at bbpress and the plugin. it does allow you to share the same user table for logins but really its not “integrated” in the sense I am looking for. You have a blog and you also have a forum – they just happen to share the same user accounts.

I’m looking for something that will basically allow me to make a new post on the blog, that will automatically create a new thread on the forum with the same title and when people leave comments in either the blog or forum for that post, the comments will appear both in the post comments and the forum thread for that post.

i am wondering the same thing. Subscribe2 just doesn’t seem to work with Dreamhost and I really don’t like the FeedBlitz service.

sendmail is enable by default on Dreamhost just like I thought it was.

So, I’m still having the same problem. No emails are going out at all from the plugin. Anyone else have any ideas?

rmarshsj, Please let me know if your new version works. I was just about to install Angsuman’s plugin and go through the laborous process of adding the custom redirect field to ALL my posts. But if you have a way around that, I’d love to use your version instead.

looks like the hostip.info website is back up. i haven’t tried pluggin it back into the shortstat code yet, but at least the side is active again.

I just put the code back in, and there is no more timeout. Looks like the lookup to hostip.info is working again.

I actually was just going to post the same thing. I just commented out the call to hostip.info and manually set

$country = ‘(Private Address) (XX)’;

that will just set it as an inderterminable IP and not timeout. I’m looking as well for an alternative.
