I would like to create a shortcode where

[fburl]username[/fburl]

would return this code: <a href="https://www.facebook.com/username" target="_New"><img src="/wp-images/post-facebook.png" border="0"></a>

*** This way the entered username within the shortcode is entered in the stated URL. I would also like:

[twiturl]username[/twiturl]

would return this code: <a href="https://www.twitter.com/username" target="_New"><img src="/wp-images/post-twitter.png" border="0"></a>

My anticipation is to use this within my posts just after certain texts that I want to provide links to their profiles. I do not want to enter all that coding for each one, over and over. I would like to just include the username and that is it.

I would truly appreciate any help from this. I have spent a few hours on tutorials and videos, and just become clueless.

There will be no need for comments on the blog. So I am not concerned with user compatibility stuff between the two.

Post Categories on existing theme are being used for “promo code” categories. Therefore, I would like to have a different theme and location for the blog area.

I downloaded Google XML sitemap Multisite, and Google Analytics plugins yesterday.

I created a profile for each subdomain, and used that GA code for each subdomain. Then, I created a sitemap for each. But, the analytics would recognize code but would stay on the clock saying that is waiting for feed like forever. Before, I would get it merely in minutes on other “one site” WPs. Then, the sitemap would give me a big fat red X when trying to submit them through Google Webmaster ??

After 3 hours of searching and playing… I just needed to delete the index.html that the host included.
