I’m still trying to import from dotclear, WP still says everything is imported but no posts or comments are there. I’m disappointed. If there was some way to import my dotclear posts without struggling with the database or altering php files….

I need help, too. My WP gives database errors when importing dotclear, it asks for ‘dot.wp_tablename’ tables and in the end it pretends all is fine when no posts or comments have been imported.

My yahoo WP has an “import” function but not an “export” one. How do I export the file I have to import to the separate WP I’m trying to make?? I don’t know how to work with the database backups…

I use Yahoo and I’m not likely to switch for the time being, so please skip the hosting issues ??
I just wanted to ask how it is possible to “detach” my WP blog from the free one Yahoo provides and put it(upgraded) separately on the same server in some independent folder or something without losing my current posts.
When I tried this I could only see a blank page, so I ‘m sure I did something wrong ??

I post under this because I get an error 404 when I try to read existing comments. The only thing I remember I changed were some colour codes, so I don’t think it’s relevant.
I tried all the themes I have to see if it’s related, but I always get the 404, so I must have done something serious ??

In some themes changing the font size leads to errors like paragraphs and breaks looking like extra characters in wrong encoding, though.
