In reply to: [Timeline Express] Fatal error: Call to a member function getTimeStamp()…Hello, I am getting this same message, any fix for this? Thank you very much.
Fatal error: Call to a member function getTimeStamp() on a non-object in /home/content/57/8282457/html/wp-content/plugins/timeline-express/lib/helpers.php
Hello, thanks. I had a guy fix it with CSS, it was just a CSS conflict with a theme, thanks a lot.
Hello… and it makes the product page header have about a hundred pixel right/left margin on mobile, so on mobile the top banner and title bar does not go full screen, and main menu is gone on desktop on product pages. Please help it’s perfect, just those two small things.
Thanks.
Hmm well I really don’t want to risk losing all my work or menus or theme settings by switching to a stock WP theme. Never know what’s going to happen and I have spent days getting this site just right and was just about to fly through all of the functionality like the auction.
Nothing can be done right now so I’m going to delete the plugin via FTP, ten go install it, put it in traditional mode and leave it alone.
Hopefully someone can solve something either the theme dev or you guys.
Right now there is just a problem that makes it unuseable. There are no resource warnings in Godaddy, I have many many much more intense plugins than a little bitty 251k auction plugin, something is just wrong.
Thanks
Now the screen went totally white with basic WP operation in traditional view.
The plugin simply does not work. I have to delete the plugin files via FTP to even see the site or access WP again.
It’s not the host, it’s not the theme.
The plugin also causes a 1-2 second white screen pause in-between page views.
If I go to Home Page, to Contact, from page to page, the entire screen is white for 1 second before the next page loads, even in traditional view.
I deactivate the plugin, back to perfect page transitions. Firefox.
Something is just screwed up. Damn I thought I had the perfect auction plugin solution now I’m spending a whole day or two just getting it to work.
I’ll see what the theme dev says.
Oh okay sorry… I just sent the dev a tech support email.
Well in all fairness, it’s one of the top selling themes on the Internet, 12,000 sales and 4.81 rating. It’s the most advanced theme I’ve seen and have used it on about 15 sites.
I have a whole website created with the theme. I’d definitely select a different auction solution rather than choose a different theme and recreate the entire website from scratch.
The traditional display looks terrible. I bought the plugin specifically for the way it looks in the demo and on another site I saw using it, blue circles, share buttons, ability to customize, fluid, etc.
For the hell of it I just turned on responsive display. It looked perfect in the page, exactly why I bought it. But the submenus of the main nav were all forced/stuck open. I went back and forth to a couple of pages and the screen went white. I then went backwards and set it back to traditional. Site works again but the auction plugin is in zero ways what I bought it for.
I’ll try to send the theme dev that text and see what he says.
But the plugin does not work right now.
Seems like it should be the plugin that needs to be altered to work with every WP theme, especially the highest rated and top selling theme on themeforest with the best support and constant updating and never a problem with a single thing except this, which now looks nothing like anything I wanted.
Just saying, not upset, thanks and I;ll see what he says.
Great thanks I guess I’ll check it all out and send him this text. I don’t like the look of any other auction plugins so I guess I’ll fight through it, but a responsive display is probably a huge necessity, and did not expect or want anything this complicated or settle with a huge problem. Mobile is very important.
But maybe it’s a somewhat simple fix. Thanks again.
Order of events…
I installed the plugin, set up all the options, then went to the Home Page so I could go to the Auctions page where I had the shortcode to see what was there, and the main nav was gone.
Then I deactivated the plugin, menu was there. Activated it again, menu gone, then I went to go to other pages and just go around the site to look at other pages and the site turned white, nothing.
I then deleted all the plugin files via FTP and the site was back up.
Ok awesome thanks, I’m activating it and sending you admin via contact page…
Thanks!
This plugin completely took down my entire site. It went to a solid white screen. I had to delete all files via FTP. It came right back up.
