In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Double Inventory DrawIs there an update to this? I have had this exact issue going on 2 weeks.

I am one of those Cloudways customers and while I have successfully updated malcare twice since my original post. Fixed is a bit of a misnomer. The “fix” is described by another commentor on one of the numerous replies to users complaining about the update. I reset my reset File and Folder permissions. It worked for me and I haven’t had any issues since. Below is a paste of the post that fixed my issue.

1 week, 4 days agoIf you are on Cloudways you need to reset your File and Folder permissions. Then go back and perform the update and it should work. Here is how to do this: https://www.moorewebexposure.com/wordpress-posts/malcare-security-plugin-wont-update-on-cloudways/
I have one site that 4.69 updated without error. The other 4 sites that fail miserably to update, all have woocommerce on them. Just an observation. This is the second message I’ve left on this forum, and have yet to hear back from the plugin vendor.
Same situation. No permissions have been changed since the site was set up.
Kim:
I’m probably not framing the issue correctly:
1) The WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway plugin (from Woocommerce.com) handles
all processing of payments on this site.
a) Link to the documentation for the plugin: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-express-checkout/2) Your plugin works perfectly upon return from Paypal if a customer clicks the
Paypal button on the checkout page, but fails if the customer clicks the PayPal
button on the cart page?
a) This seems to be a minor flaw in uninitialized variables, or information
handling due to the difference in the order the information is gathered
versus a major feature upgrade. Thanks for walking through this Kim.

Hi:
Your saying your plugin will never work correctly if a customer chooses to bypass “Proceed to Checkout” at the Cart page, and proceed directly to Paypal to authorize payment?
Your plugin is the only thing malfunctioning here. All the standard Woocommerce shipping options work perfectly in the same scenario.
I am confused how this falls to the paypal gateway plugin when it is your plugin that is not working.
THANKS
Kim:
All the variables were entered correctly. Thank you for putting the type casting check in. The error is gone and everything is working perfectly. I finally figured out how to get the method to only charge the fixed fee if the destination was less than 10 miles. The setup you recommended of Fixed fee:10 / min distance:0 / max distance: 10. I changed price to 0 and now no distance charge is added to the fixed price.
Thank you for all the assistance.

Kim:
This was actually me reporting an issue with the plugin since the update 1.2.
However, I wanted to go ahead and do what you advised above.I set up 2 shipping methods as you described above. One at a time:
1st method) Fixed Fee: 10 / Minimum distance:0 / maximum distance:10 / divider:1 / price:1
**NOTE** I went to cart after setting just this method up since my destination was less than 10 miles. This error is being displayed across the screen:
Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home/corners6/public_html/cwdbizbuild.xyz/wp-content/plugins/webdata-custom-shipping-methods-for-woocommerce/includes/class-woocommerce-custom-shipping-method-constructor.php on line 707.I went and set up the second method as you described above:
2nd method)Fixed Fee: 0 / Minimum distance:10.1 / maximum distance:40 / divider:1 / price:1
**NOTE**
I got the same error message as with just the 1st method entered. Thanks, and let me know.
Kim:
Excellent idea. I will test it out and let you know.
Thanks for the support.

Kim:
Thank you. I know there is a difference, even within Google, of calculated distances and I appreciate the fix, so the result at least falls in the middle of range of returned distances by google-maps.
One last clarification please:
I do not want to charge the fixed fee if the delivery destination is outside the minimum distance. The $10 fixed fee no longer applies, since the destination is greater than 10 miles. I only want to charge the result of the calculation.
EX:
1) Fixed fee of $10 for any destination 0-10 miles from origin.
2) No fixed fee, and $1 per mile charge for any destination from 10.1 – 20 miles(limit of delivery area). Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks

Hi:
Thanks for the reply. I am very excited to use this plugin and provide a good review, but
1) The calculation is not correct:
a) Taxes are not turned on in Woocommerce as a whole, and the setting in WooCommerce Custom Shipping Method is set to “no”.
b) I do not see any field titled “base price” in the WooCommerce Custom Shipping Method.
c) The “fastest route” provided by Google Maps is 8.8 miles of the 3 options provided. The calculation should not add up to $16.8 no matter which option is chosen by the plugin when my divider is a 1 and my charge per mile is a 1.I hope these additional facts help. Yours is a great plugin. I just need to understand what setting needs to be set to in order for this plugin to charge a base price of $10 for .1-10miles and $1 per mile from 10.1-25 miles.
I can send screen shots, or grant you access to the site if you reply to my email.
Thanks
GARY
